I was just curious what the cut off times are for the shipping within the contiguous U.S to get things by xmas.
For instance, how long does “ground” or “priority” take from the time of ordering to receive on average?

Hi John, I think that many packages shipped from this date (December 14th) forward will arrive on time, however some won’t – It depends entirely upon how far away from us you are and if travel is delayed by tornado destruction or other weather (or covid) related events! From Oregon across the U.S. is normally about one week travel time for UPS ground – but right now it could very well take longer. The US Post Office often gets places faster.

We will be shipping packages as quickly as we can until December 23rd if nothing stops us but I cannot promise they will all arrive before the 25th. At this moment we have about 60 orders for Paint Your Owns to fill – and those take extra time to process due to finding eyes for them – I doubt they will all ship tomorrow. If something arrives after December 25th – Celebrate New Years with it!

These ship-by dates are for the Continuous US States. I’ve also included links to the USPS and UPS Holiday Schedule online pages for reference.

USPS Ground you should ship by 12/15 Wed.; USPS First Class mail you should ship by 12/17 Fri.; USPS Priority you should ship by 12/18 Sat.; USPS Priority Express you can ship by 12/23 Thurs.

          *~*~*~*~*~*
UPS Ground you should ship by 12/16 Thurs.; UPS 3-Day Select you should ship by 12/21 Tues.; UPS 2-Day Air you should ship by 12/22 Wed.; UPS Next Day Air you should ship by 12/23 Thurs.

Basically – if you want things delivered by Christmas you need to ship out this week, preferably between tomorrow and Saturday… unless you want to pay a really really pretty penny!
