I wouldn’t want to copy any Windstone colors. I don’t do copies anyway – all purely original. 🙂
I’d have to sell the PYOs over ebay.com instead of ebay.ch – that’s what I asked Aky about. There’s really no market for fantasy here in Switzerland – or Europe. She’d know; she sells almost all her stuff to the States. As for shipping, a 3kg Priority Airmail box costs 55.- going from here to the U.S. Converted that makes about $40. I can’t help the price – I’m not trying to overcharge on shipping.
I think I’ll order a few more PYOs and put one up on ebay.com, just to see what happens. If it works out, I think I’ll cycle my PYOs – paint one and sell the last one I painted, freeing up space. So I’d only have a couple PYOs at a time, but always new colors.
Might even sell Pliny if I like Cerberus (next paint scheme with red eyes) better. Nirvana, if you’re till interested, he might be up for grabs soon.😯
Now how should I interpret that?
November 22, 2006 at 9:45 pm #511097In a good way
November 22, 2006 at 9:49 pm #511098Okay. Except I see that Pliny is looking very sad all of sudden… Well, if I’ll need room for more PYOs, I’ll need room.

ahh… then I stored it wrong in my mind. Because thats the exact sentence I remember having read from her and I could have sworn it was in one of the PYO threads. So I was even silently wondering why PYo’s popped up on ebay. My mistake 😉
as for the fantasy market in Switzerland. Let me put it into a simple sentence:
The attitude towards fantasy here makes you want to kill people.
If you ever hear someone tell you you suck because you do fantasy stuff you will know what I mean. Thats not once I heard it.
In fact, I, for the sake of my grades, cannot say the word fantasy at my school (art school). Yes, I am right now living two lives. Because if ever a braintard tells me that my LINE (you know, the thing you put on paper with brush or pen), or the fact that I can paint and not do collage, is bad fantasy and not good I am afraid I will definitly lose my marbles.
The normal market (I made a Christmas market some years ago) is more in the direction of fairy cute gnoll things. The younger generation knows it better, the older one hasnt ever heard the word gryphon and is afraid of dragons. Yeah the cute cuddly dragon are ARGH OMG its gonna eat me. No i am not exagerating.
It is possible that LOTR and Eragon have finally made changes, but chances here are slim.good luck with em, Basilisk 🙂

Is that because maybe the older generations were chased by dragons for sport? You know like the Hungarian Horntail? Just a thought…If Dragons were still to be in this world, I’d think Switzerland is where they’d be…or Norway/Sweeden..=P
November 22, 2006 at 11:21 pm #511102hehehe 🙂
um, no, *g* surprisingly. We owe it to made in China products and also those really bad pinkish fantasy posters you find around in every store. Or that cutesy that makes you wanna get sick. The artists representing the subject are often really bad, not in the sense of qaulity always but in general art and giving the thing life understanding.
As for dragons in Switzerland, i am slowly collection ideas and stories and designs for dragons(and creatures) . Currently I am doing most of my ebay dragons and critters based on that idea, which is why all my ebay auctions for the figurines have these loooong stories. Many of the ideas are actually based on childhood stories.November 22, 2006 at 11:24 pm #511103Akeyla wrote:hehehe 🙂

There are few others these days.

November 23, 2006 at 5:41 am #511107Nirvana, I’m honored you like Pliny so much. No kidding – I really am.
Somehow I think you’ll like Cerberus, too – he’s named for the three-headed guard dog of Hades. Sort of a hell-griffin. You did call dibs on my second one, so I’m just giving you time to consider… 🙂November 27, 2006 at 6:12 pm #511108Greater Basilisk wrote:Nirvana, I’m honored you like Pliny so much.
