Melody I was just wondering… did you use a model when sculpting the Sea Jewel Mermaid sculpt? Who was it? Someone random, or someone hired?

A SPHINX! Don’t tease Melody 😆 No. really, I wanted to do a sphinx but I never got very positive responses from my sphinx sculptures so I made a mermaid. I love sphinxes. Not many out there that aren’t Egyptian, but I love those too.

I would love a Sphinx! Of course I love Egyptian since I am studying Egyptology but Persian and Greek are very beautiful and more feminine. I would love to see your sphinx sculptures 😀

The bare breasts could have been a problem. I remember watching “Neverending Story” as a kid; seeing those sphinxes made me go “Eeeew, gross!” But now that I’m older, I love that they kept the sphinxes true to form rather than making them wear bras or something!

*just checked Sea Jewel* Nope, bare breasts aren’t a problem!

I LOVE the oracles in that movie! I think they’re really pretty (and scary!). I always wanted to have statues of them (maybe put them around our front door or something 😀 ).

So, yes, I certainly would love to see Melody sculpt a Sphinx!
