Ruby replacement poll

This is partly true, but they DO still have the Black Gold (who’s red-and-gold), AND the Golds (who are red-and-gold).

That’s enough warm colors for me, since I’m really really not a fan of red, OR gold!

I’m with you, 100%. If Ember had orange eyes (and gold horns), I’d back that color. But the red eyes just don’t do it for me. (I don’t like the green, either, but somewhere in the thread it was explained that that was just because it was painted over an Emerald dragon, and the green tone wouldn’t be there in a production color.)

If it is really replacing ruby, I like the copper muave the best, but any of the first 4 would be fantastic. I’m just not 100% sure about the violet flame though. It would really depend on the version, or maybe they start out like the fledgie as babies and get more purple as they get older?

I don’t like the VF color, but I think I would love it with a lot of purple in it. Dragons should become more beautiful as they grow up!

For me it was a close choice between the copper mauve or violet flame. I really hope copper mauve wins! Copper mauve!! Squeak!!

I wonder how hard copper mauve is to paint. It’s never had a lot of attention until now.

I don’t know…hopefully it wont be too bad. I wonder if the production pieces would match the ow though, I hope so… I know the color changed a bit on the violet flame color, probably to make it easier to paint.

Actually, I voted for Ember the second time around. But copper mauve is a close second. Not to mention that I’ll buy just about any new dragon color that Melody comes up with…

Ember is ok, but I liked it with the greenish flashes. I think perhaps a dragon in the ember color with maybe blue flashes of paint here and there would be pretty neat too, although a pill to paint on production scale. I think alot of people didn’t care for the green with the red tones.
