Windstone had peacock, and now emerald peacock that has a lot of blue. They need a warm color to replace ruby. 🙂

I am going to do some digging for two pictures and ask a question about them… its about the peacock color….

I do love the dragons with blue in them too. But a warmer color is definitely needed to even out the current color choices in stores. I’m all for the blue VF though… that color is ridiculously gorgeous IMO! 😀
I like the Ember if it didn’t have the green spots and maybe straw or orange eyes. The red eyes just makes it too much red. That’s the problem I had with Ruby (that and the magenta areas).
I also like the Copper Mauve. I haven’t seen one in person though, and it may be too much in person.
I like the Red Flame that Olimpia did. Too bad it’s too complicated for production. That would be pretty.
The Cinnamon is too much like Gold. The Violet Flame is TOO MUCH color, almost blinding. And the Pink is too limiting on taste.
I kind of wish there was another option. Like a White Ruby Gold, or something like that.

o__O White ruby gold? As much as I dislike all those colors on Windstones, for whatever reason the combination sounds like it would look pretty cool.
I would like something like that. Like Frozen has mentioned. A mostly white dragon with purple or red…or pink. Works for me.
I’d like to see that too!! I think it’s time for white to make a comeback in some color scheme!!!:wink:

The other option I forgot was Ember.
I like the ember but the green highlights and the DARK colors are a little much for me. The red eyes seem a little much too, for my taste. The dark color is too brown too. But that is just me.

The green is not part of the final paint. This is just a test paint that Melody painted over a green color- if any are made, they will not have the green.

I said “Something else” because I’m really not wild about any of them.
Artistically, I like the Copper Mauve, but personally it’s not a color I’d collect, so I felt it would be somewhat dishonest to vote for it knowing that I wouldn’t buy it. (Well, okay, maybe I’d buy the Lap in it…)
With Em-Pea covering the blue/green cool spectrum, Black Gold covering the red/gold hot spectrum (and the dark/black), and Gold covering the yellow/brown spectrum, I think we need the next color to be something totally different. No more warm/gold tones, there’s enough of that.
Personally I’d like to see something really lavender/lilac/violet (with touches of blue/other accents)! We don’t have anything really purple out there, since the Pinks are very pale and pastel and pink.
I’d LOVE to see something that combined the Intense Violet of the IVEP colors with the blue-violet of the regular EPs, though not necessarily even as the base color — something paler, more lavender/lilac, would be really neat, too, and kind of a change from the usually bold Windstone colors. (Blue antiquing might look really awesome with purple…)
