And yes, because Windstones are made in the US, they are duty free into Canada, but the procedures are different when it’s Windstone selling to a dealer vs. you buying it privately. A private sale should only need the country of origin filled out on the shipment to be sent duty free. They may or may not ask for proof, at which point the seller has to cough up something to the effect of where they purchased the items.
You will always have to pay a BROKERAGE fee and the related GST/HST. You cannot get around those.
That’s what I thought. That’s why I don’t deal with UPS, regular post dosen’t charge brokerage. Dosen’t matter if it’s Air or Expediated, I’d rather pay a little more to send and then wait, than deal with the UPS hoops.
