I contacted the seller, they assure me that everything will be double boxed and very carefully packed. and I told them I’m in no rush so a slower aka cheaper delivery is great
Keep in mind, the slower the method of shipping, the longer they are bounced and thrashed about with the carrier. I run into this a lot because of our heavier units being shipped ground. We found more damage on the other end. If you pay for the faster shipping, UPS/FedEx doesn’t have enough time to really give it their all!
January 11, 2007 at 10:23 pm #523682And also it goes thru more hands the slower way.
January 11, 2007 at 11:04 pm #523683ahhh I’m just going to have to cross my fingers and hope they get here alright… 😕
January 11, 2007 at 11:10 pm #523684That works also. 😆
January 12, 2007 at 2:14 am #523685Don’t worry. I’ve only had two packages lost in transit, (one showed up a few months later the other I believe was left at the mail boxes and was taken, who would want a custom made brass buisness card holder is beyond me) and only one got here in pieces. That was the packers fault. He tried to blame it on customs, but they didn’t open it. I’ve never had a problem with USPS before.
January 12, 2007 at 7:20 am #523686I have had very little problems at all with shipping of anything. I guess I have gotten lucky
January 12, 2007 at 6:13 pm #523687For those of you that were worried about the shipping costs, it was only $64.64. I’m not sure what other people usually pay, but it sounds about right for international shipping of all that weight. I figured that all together its about 58 lbs…
January 12, 2007 at 7:30 pm #523688$64 for all those dragons? 😯 Man, it’s going to cost me more than $50 just to get the Old Warrior over here. 🙁
January 12, 2007 at 8:48 pm #523689That seems rather cheap to me. Let me check something. brb
Edit: They must be sending it surface/economy. It will be 4-6 weeks before you get it. They also must be packaging them all together in a big box. Are they insuring it? I hope so!
January 12, 2007 at 8:53 pm #523690All together in one box? Pictures of the Spectral and scratcher from amyk come to mind… 😕
January 12, 2007 at 9:18 pm #523691sounds like you get GREAT deal all the way around
January 12, 2007 at 10:54 pm #523692Where are you shipping it too? Does that include insurance? It cost me 40 bucks to get my OW from the states through customs and into Canada.
January 12, 2007 at 10:55 pm #523693it does sound very low so I would also check to see how they are going to ship it to make sure it does not take 6 weeks or so
January 13, 2007 at 12:48 am #523694I went and calculated it myself cause you guys have me a little bit worried… For 4-6 boxes, totaling about 60 lbs, to arrive in the next week and a half should be about 70 dollars. I went on the UPS calculater thingy
January 13, 2007 at 12:58 am #523695It cost you $40 for customs? How much was your OW and how much tax do you pay? In ontario it’s GST 6% and PST 8%. So for just taxes on $561 is $78.54, plus $5 handeling. So all together it’s $83.54. That doesn’t sound right. I’ll have to see what all they charge now. Or did you mean shipping. I know I paid around $40 for my last OW for shipping. Then I paid around $115 for customs.
