Hiyas everyone! It’s been a while! I have become a lurker. I was lurking around Windstones on Ebay and found a repaint for sale. I read the whole repaint thread but couldn’t find anything about trying to resale repaints on Ebay. Maybe I over looked something. It is a pretty dabble grey Pegasus that says it is a repaint in the description. Wasn’t sure if anyone else had seen it. Anywho back to lurking! :ghost:
January 24, 2012 at 3:26 pm #870531I watch the artist on facebook, she does lots of breyer and model horses, I was surprised to see a windstone from her. Not sure if she knows about repaints at all though :/
January 24, 2012 at 4:16 pm #870534Ooh, it’s a lovely paint job. I hope hope hope he was super banged up, to justify repainting a Grand Peg… he’s seriously beautiful though.

I know; I noticed him a few days ago and thought she’d done a phenomenal job. Hopefully it was somehow a necessary one, and at least they’re not trying to pass it off as somehow in original condition.
January 24, 2012 at 4:40 pm #870541He’s breathtaking . I saw him on ebay and thought he was a new Windstone piece . Just a stunning repaint .
January 24, 2012 at 5:17 pm #870544I think she did a spectacular job on this and I hope she gets a lot for him. If I had any money right now I’d bid on him. Heres to hoping Windstone will make colored Pegasus of their own. I’m still hoping for a LP buckskin or leopard Appaloosa…
January 24, 2012 at 8:29 pm #870572Now a brightly-colored “custom painted” Guardian Dragon Gargoyle has been listed (by a different seller).

That one might be something worth reporting to Windstone. The description doesn’t make it at all clear that this was NOT painted by a Windstone painter, whereas the Pegasus is very specific about that.
January 24, 2012 at 8:40 pm #870574I completely agree about that. It is not clearly stated as being a “Repaint” and I think it can and will easily be mistaken for a “Custom Paint” Windstone.
Just my opinion.January 24, 2012 at 9:24 pm #870578Another strange one that just showed up is:
January 24, 2012 at 9:25 pm #870579Reported the “red” one and the Gargoyle to John.
January 24, 2012 at 9:31 pm #870581Actually, I think the red might just be really bad lighting. The “spectral” one listed by the same seller looks like a ruby male (not red fire or spectral).

or fading? the nose scaling on the top and the inner tail seems weird…
4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat
2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White
4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinJanuary 24, 2012 at 9:50 pm #870585To me it looks like the statue was photographed under fluorescent lighting which adds an awful greenish cast to things in photos. To the eye the statue looks OK under the light, but once a photo is taken anything shot under fluorescent lighting can take on a strange color cast.
January 24, 2012 at 9:57 pm #870587Doesn’t ebay’s rules give you 4 days to pay for things? That seller has “must pay within 24 hours or items will be relisted” on their page. Snorted when I saw that. No thanks!
