I’m so sorry to hear about Rab Ski, I’m sure he’s enjoying all the love and special treats, I’ll say a prayer for him that is time is peaceful and pain free. *hugs*

I agree with siberak1 that he will let you know when it is time. I had a cat named Panther and she had been sick for quite awhile and one night I came home from the office and she was laying on the floor crying in pain. I picked her up and rushed her to the vet but I think I already knew it was time before the vet told me. She truly had let me know by her actions even though it didn’t help the hurt I felt losing her.

Animals do know when it is their time and she will let you know. My cat did. And like you I was hoping she would pass naturaly and take that decision out of my hands, but turned out that she let me know it was time. Yes it will be hard and heartwrenching but you love your dog and want what is best….you’ll know.
“Hugs”Well it looks like the ‘time’ may be tomorrow or Wednesday. I cant tempt him to eat anything today. Not ham, not chicken treats, not peanut butter, not cookies, not bread, not dog food or treats, and not even steak, raw or cooked. He’s still walking around wagging his tail, but if he wont eat, he is just gonna waste away. Maybe he is being picky again to see what else I can offer him, but somehow I dont think he is that calculating… I bought a jar today to put his ashes in. It felt kinda mean, planning before the event. Oh well. I dropped Paul off at the airport today so at least I didnt have to put him down while paul was here. That would have been sad. Paul got to see him again at least and we had a great week together with lots of walks. I’ll keep ya’ll posted. I will probably gather and post pics of his life when I get a chance GB. 😉
Sorry to hear he’s not eating at all. I hope he bounces back for a little bit. 🙁

I’m glad you, Rab and Paul got to have some special time together. Losing our four footed family members is never easy.

I’m sure he had a GREAT life with you and will always be grateful for thatWell, I had him put down this morning. He wouldnt eat and was just wasting away. The vets made it easy and nice, but it was still a very heartbreaking experience. He just wasnt in his body anymore. It was too odd. At least he is not suffering but it is so hard to believe his life is just… over. 😥 Thanks for all your support.
