The standing kirins are cast and waiting to be painted, but… uh, we ran into a slight problem. The feet ended up being too small for a pad stamped with the Windstone editions logo, so we are not sure how to mark them. It’s always something.

    Ruh roh 🙁

I’d squeak for a PYO froggy!! I love them!

Picked up a griff-itty, but am waiting for the short haired PYO flap cat [as my kitty is a short hair =3 ]

I do plan to get the long haired too some day, but as I’m moving soon I settled for just the griff-itty ^^

I love them! I get a kick out of the Derpy “Griffkit” ^^ Sadly, this is Mothers Day weekend, and I need to direct my funds to that this week.

I know that it was a long time for these and Foo Dad to be ready for sale, but I wanted to find out about the other PYO’s: ShorthairFlapCat, Kirin, and Frog…How are they coming along? 🙂

Poor Melody 😉 As soon as one new thing hits the store there is a chorus of questions and requests for something else. [Spoken as someone who also is anticipating a frog PYO some day.]

Frog is on hold.He needs squeaks to get him finished.
The short haired cat is being worked on.. meaning it is sitting on my sculpting table with the two or three other things that would be getting worked on if I was working on them.
            I have been painting.
Fancy pyo Kirin has been finished for months… I don’t know what hold up is with him.

I can squeak a little bit…I thought the Celtic Knot idea was brilliant, and will make for great textural quality, that would be pretty to dry-brush over. Antiquing would also be fun that way. Even making it more “Toady” with lumps, and bumps would make for a fun painting experience.

As far as the issue with the standing Kirin; maybe giving it more “Fluff” on the backs of its feet might make a large enough flat Surface area to fit the logo stamped felt. It is easier to add-on to a sculpt rather than re-sculpt the whole thing…that is if you really wanted to re-sculpt it…and if you do, maybe work out a way similar to the orientals possibly?

Melody, I hope you, and everyone else here who is a Mom… has a lovely Mothers Day!

I’ve been out of the loop for awhile. I believe I’ve seen one new pyo kirin… But not more. Would anyone be able to link me to some images?

The new standing baby kirin will be a production piece. Photos from the Windstone Facebook pages:

I can’t wait till I have my own place and can start painting stuff.

Couldn’t you use the stamp without the logo? Like the one on the tad poads? 🙂

Yes, exactly. I have re-sculpted his feet to have larger footprints, but we have already cast a bajillion of them with small feet. We’ll figure out something.

It’d be a shame to waste all the little guys. Maybe as Kiya said, the Tadpoad stamp might fit?

Ah, my PYO Flap Kitty arrived and I think he looks even cuter in person! <3 Anyone have a planned color scheme for him? I haven't decided yet and he hasn't told me yet what he wants to be.

                    #912512

I’m going to try and pick one or two up after I move at the end of this month, but I haven’t decided on the color scheme yet
