He reminds me of someone closing their eyes to make a wish.

      Ahhh, how cute!

While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

He looks very serene, purplecat. He’ll look great when he’s done.

The Tatzelwurms is also known as Stollenwurms and as Springwurms because of their leaping abilities. They are described as being mountain dwelling dragons with a cat head, razor sharp teeth, spiked ridges along their back, and little or now neck with a cylindrical body which is lizard or serpent like. They are known to be extremely aggressive and will attack if provoked.

I was thinking he looked like a manticore, sans scales and barbed tail.

Here’s my drawing of a ‘benevolent’ one, which is also minus the scales and barbed tail:

Ah cool! Yesterday, despite being sick…I added more scaling to the back, leg and tail of mine..he’s coming along really beautifully. I’m kinda seeing mine as a benevolent creature as well, considering the facial expression and all. 😆 He doesnt look particularly fierce snoozing that way! 😆 I wonder if I should do an adult version later? Hrrrrm..

I think I’m gonna stick with Tatzelwurm…since he is exactly as they’re described. I’ve added alot more scales to him since then too, and he’s looking really good. 🙂

I thought you might like to have this description. It comes from “The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures” by John and Caitlin Matthews.

                      Tatzelwurm
In the folklore of Austria, the Tatzelwurm appears as a hybrid lizard-like creature with the head of a cat. Agreement as to its exact nature and appearance is hard to come by, and few agree as to the number of legs possesed by this creature – or indeed whether it has any at all. It’s body may be smooth, rough, scaly or covered in hair. In Switzerland, it is known as the Stollenwurm. Both creatures are considered aggresive and they attack travellers in the mountains without warnings.

                      Stollenwurm
In Swiss folkelore, Stollenwurm is a huge lizard with teh face of a cat. It has dragon scales, a long tail and a dorsal ridge along its body. It can raise itself upon its hind legs in order to stand better over its prey. It is reported to live in the Alpine passes. It is alco called Tatzelwurm.
