My blue conchshell dragonsnail arrived today. He’s so cute! I really love him. Now I need to get money together for a chirpmunk and a moonshell dragonsnail, but I got a vet bill to pay first.

Here’s a concept sketch for a feather dragon sculpt i want to start soon. I thought I might share! Plus I’ve been learning to draw on the computer, so it is a tad rough.

I think the pose and everything will look really nice, I’m wanting her to be fairly big..I’m thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 11-12 inches tall. 🙂

Do you think she’s ok even though every bit of her body isnt fully scaled? I like the partially smooth dragon look, but was worried others would find her bare.

No, I love it, and I think with your painting skills that you could add some fabulous patterns and depth on the smooth parts. I’ve never been a big scaled person myself, I do prefer the smoother dragons. Blame it on Pern. 😀

Oh cute. I swear between you and Windstone, my budget doesn’t stand a chance!! But I do get so many pretties. 😉

12 inches? She’ss be huge! I can’t wait to see the prototype.

I’m wanting to take a shot at a larger size dragon. The hippocampus’s are really big, but a large dragon sculpt would be a blast to paint, and I could do some really fancy color schemes. 😀 😀 Plus I love the softness the feathers give her.

I’m sure she will turn out gorgeous!

I’m sure you would have caught this on the 3D prototype, but the right front leg is a bit high up. The shoulders aren’t even. *scuttles away*

Ah, I see! Dont scuttle! I probably would have caught it in the 3D, but I’ve also been considering turning this sketch into a nicer piece of art, like some sort of color drawing. and in that case, I hadnt spotted my mistake. This was just a quick rough idea sketch, so i could get a better feel for what I’ll be putting together. 😆 😆

I’d sure like to see it as a drawing! Especially if you put as much detail into your feathers as you put in your hair!
