Oh PC that fox is looking so cute!!! I can’t wait!!!
Keep trying with the casting, unfortunatly its the only way you learn. (though we humans all wish that things worked perfectly on the first try, regardless of what it is)
December 3, 2007 at 7:05 am #610129The fox is really cute, but favorite is still the chirpmunk.
December 3, 2007 at 2:46 pm #610130More pics!
Some of these are still in the blobby stage but I figured I’d share anyhow. 🙂
December 3, 2007 at 2:52 pm #610131Lookin’ good Purplecat. Where do you find such large amounts of sculpey?

December 3, 2007 at 2:59 pm #610132Micheals. They know me by name now….you can find it at walmart too sometimes but I love an excuse to go to an art store… The fish is actually gonna have two sets of wings, the smaller set are where fins would normally be. Plus I use aluminum foil to “bulk out” the base of the sculpt before I start so i’m not using quite as much sculpey. 😀
December 3, 2007 at 3:23 pm #610133Oh no, a winged fish. 😆
December 3, 2007 at 3:32 pm #610134What do you mean “oh no” ????? 😆 😆 😆
December 3, 2007 at 3:33 pm #610135The idea of a feathery water-dweller revolts against the naturalist in me. 😆
December 3, 2007 at 3:34 pm #610136*sniffs indignantly* They don’t live in the water…They’re…um….CLOUD fish!!! They live in the vapory water atmosphere in the clouds…yeah, that’s it!! 😛
December 3, 2007 at 3:53 pm #610137I like that idea! In the book I just finished they had a “flock of hover hogs to help with the housekeeping” sort of winged vacuum cleaner pigs since the family lived in low gravity!

Hm. I could almost go for that. 😆

Larklight! I really liked that book. It was way too short, though.

Yay! Someone else who knows what I’m talking about!!! 😀 LOVE that book! Wonder if Melody would do a sculpt of a hover hog? (Didn’t you just love their method of locomotion?)

December 4, 2007 at 3:54 pm #610142I’ve never read that one, I’ll have to go look it up! I’m doing detailing on my winged fish today, thanks to GB I’ve found what I’m gonna call them: Cloudfish. I may even do some sketches of them flying around in the clouds…I think I’ve found a new creature creation to add to my novella…hehe…Too bad my writing skills are really crappy compared to my art skills….sigh…I’ll get some more updated pics up later, there are slightly newer (but still outdated) pics of the cloudfish in Purplecat Creatives. Mostly tonight I’m still working on casting…if only that came as easy as sculpting…Although it’s getting better…I’ve thrown away what seems to be a ton of failed castings, but each time I learn something new. 🙂
