Might be tough with the tail… 😆 I can’t wait to see it finished. You have a real talent for sculpting. 😀
November 22, 2007 at 9:07 pm #610085Thank you! I’m thinking I may have (fingers crossed) found my niche….I’m really enjoying sculpting and will love painting them too, once I get mold-making conquered! 😆 Thank god for Melody, she’s been an enormous help. I don’t know what I’d do without her! Thanks Melody! 😀
November 23, 2007 at 11:22 am #610086Maybe we will be able to say we knew you before you were famous! 😀
November 23, 2007 at 12:28 pm #610087Haha! That’s right. 😆
November 23, 2007 at 3:28 pm #610088😆 😆 😆 Bah, I’ll probably never be famous! My sculpting is fair, but I’ve got a LONG way to go! 😆
November 28, 2007 at 6:02 am #610089Working, working, working….I think I may have molds done for the cone-shell dragonsnail and the chirpmunk, but the spiral-shell dragonsnail’s mother mold broke so I’ve got to rework it. Two out of three isn’t bad I suppose. I did however get my sketch taken to the printshop so they could make me a special stamp for stamping my logo into my sculpts on the bottom. I’ve had to take a break on the mermaid sculpt for a bit, she’s just so darn big…and that curly hair is making me cross-eyed…But I’ve started up a twitter griffin, sculpted life size (about as tall as my thumb). Since it’s a smaller piece I should at least be able to finish it within a week. Also attempting to setup a place to put available pieces up for sale. It’s the link for Purplecat Creatives beneath my siggie, lemme know what you think of my raw page. Nam is graciously letting me use one of her winged kitties as a user pic. Here’s some pics of my current work. The first one is a sketch of what my twitter griffs will look like when finished.
Oh, geez….I forgot the copyright things on the pics….I’ll fix that in a bit…Here’s the stamp sketch.
November 28, 2007 at 6:09 am #610090How neat! The twittergriffs are going to be so cute.
November 28, 2007 at 4:11 pm #610091Some more pics of the twitter griff. I got a successful mother mold for the spiral shell snaildragon this morning! I’ll be casting a couple tonight to see if the sculpt or mold needs adjusting! Yipee!
November 28, 2007 at 4:35 pm #610092Waaayyy cuutte! I need one of those, too!

November 28, 2007 at 4:38 pm #610093I love that stamp sketch!
November 28, 2007 at 4:42 pm #610094I’m wanting that to be stamped into the base of all my sculpts, the stamps should be arriving today or tomorrow. I’m really excited that FINALLY after all this work I’m making some progress.
November 28, 2007 at 4:43 pm #610095Congrats! 😀
November 28, 2007 at 5:31 pm #610096I can’t believe I’ve missed so much of this thread. To start, I need to be put on the list for the first snail dragon and the chirpmunk. I may want the second snail dragon after a bit of a break.
I’m very excited, watching these babies come to life. Are you ever going to cast that little otter from the first page? He’s so cute, and I think I’d need one of him too. 😀
Also, we could do a website link exchange too, if you wanted to. I’d have a link on my site to your website and you’d have one to mine on yours. Free advertising! 😀
November 28, 2007 at 5:47 pm #610097That sounds ok to me! Lemme figure out where to put it and I’ll let you know. The otter on the first page was oil clay and couldn’t be saved but I have restarted him in sculpy, he’s actually pretty good size. He’s the same height as the mother griffin, but I’m considering doing him with wings…we’ll see what happens as I go, these guys kinda “evolve” as I work on them! 🙂
