Aw, I would love a jackalope, he’s sooooo cute. But put me down for one of each.

I think I like the curly Shell Snail better that the first. But put me down for all of them!! 😀

I love all of them. You can put me down for one of each. 😀 (But, I’d like to know how much they’ll cost in the end)

Dragons should be $125 apiece and the chirpmunks will be $40. I’m pretty certain that’s the decision! 😀

          #610058

Only $40 for a chirpmunk? Wow, I might need one of those too.

Considering how new I am at this I really don’t want to overcharge. My asking prices are what I think I’d be willing to pay for them if I were a buyer. 🙂

I’m on the chirpmunk list, right purplecat? *flutters eyelashes*

They’re under the rubber now….mold-making rubber that is. Geez I’m nervous….did I spray enough chemical release? too much? Did I get the mix ratio right? Did I mix it long enough? Is the layer on the sculpt thick enough? I know I went through the processes properly, I’m just second-guessing myself to death right now…. 🙄 Once the rubber dries I have to make “carrier” or “mother” molds for them, then make my first castings of them in soft, carvable plaster so some of the finer details can be refined. Then new molds are made and hopefully the ones cast from those molds will be the ones that are ready for painting. Whew! *passes out from exhaustion and nerves*

Good luck, purplecat! I know you can do it 😀

                #610064

Put me down too! I need a chirpmunk at least!

While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

whoa! good luck and keep us updated 🙂
I tried casting mine years ago but was never happy with the result (the pieces got bubbles) or the modifications I would have had to make to prevent undercutting. I was thinking to someday perhaps ask Gensen Figure, they made replicas for my dear friend kahosdog. dohh… first to finish school…

Sigh….the rubber tore on one snail dragon, the mother mold broke on the other snail dragon and the casting I actually got of the chirpmunk has got bubbles….back to the drawing board… 🙄 Don’t worry everyone, I’m really stubborn and don’t give up on something til I get it right, this was just my first try after all. 🙂

hmmm… how did the mother mold break?
I am asking because I do have some casting experience, though only with no undercut forms in plaster (Aka making a mold with plaster)
                      and dont give up 🙂
