Ok so I have a LP Violet Flame curled dragon that’s signed Looks like this one mint with box, tag, and COA http://windstoneeditions.com/products/curled-dragon-violet-flame
Just wondering what it’s worth ^_^
October 5, 2011 at 9:13 pm #859260That sounds like a red flame, not a violet flame. The COA should state the color. I don’t think the violet flames were ever signed, but they do LOOK a lot like the red flame.
I haven’t seen a red flame come up on the forum, but a violet flame has sold for $110 – $225 (unsigned) recently.
October 5, 2011 at 9:53 pm #859265Violet Flame, $150-200, although one did just sell for like $225 or $250 but that would be a high side.
I would think a Red Flame would be $200-275, but again you could find a couple of people willing to give you more for it to complete a collection. 😉
I agree it might be a Red Flame, really need to check on that.October 5, 2011 at 10:57 pm #859270Here is Red Flame, since it’s being mentioned. http://ravnheart.com/windstone/index.php?act=details&id=348
October 5, 2011 at 11:23 pm #859272There was an initial “oops” batch of violet flame curlies that closely resembled red/russet flame curlies. The first picture is one of the red colored violet flame dragons, not a red/russet flame. Red/russet flame dragons have orange eyes and a clear jewel, were signed, and came with a COA. The red colored violet flames have red eyes, a red jewel, more purplish coloring, and dark blue antiquing. None of violet flames had a COA or signature. At one time I owned all three versions. Since then, my regular violet flame was sold, my red colored violet flame was given as a gift to a good friend of mine, and I still have my red/russet flame dragon.
In answer to your question, I believe a red colored violet flamed is worth more than a regular violet flame since there was and will only ever be one batch. Red/russet flames tend to go for the most money (some over $200.00) since they were signed and have a COA.
October 6, 2011 at 12:31 am #859279thanks everyone! I pulled out the box & it says Curled Dragon Red Flame. I thought there was a COA in the box with the dragon but guess not. I’m now not even sure if this dragon came with a COA. I think it’s just the one that was in the store at one time that was signed so it looks a lot like the Violet Flame just more red.
October 6, 2011 at 12:35 am #859280Oh and he has Orange eyes and a yellowish almost clear stone. I still can’t find the COA but I’m looking LOL
October 6, 2011 at 12:39 am #859281If he’s got orange eyes, a yellowish jewel, is signed, and comes in a red flame box, he is a red/russet flame. They came with COA’s. If you can find it, he’ll be worth a pretty penny. Good luck!
October 6, 2011 at 3:32 am #859300If he’s signed w/ orange eyes he is the russet. There were a couple of forum members who were hunting one. He is worth a pretty penny, so don’t let anyone low ball you..he’s worth at least $150 and I’ve seen them go for 250.
kiya1215 and Dragonshoard were both looking for one.
Good luck

Yes dragonshoard is my wife and we are still hunting for Red Flame.
October 13, 2011 at 6:46 pm #859933I have 27 curlies and they are all the regular ones sold in the store – no eBay ones and I think that is all of them – but my now I am not sure which is which for some of them. I am not even sure I could match some of the with the COA.
October 14, 2011 at 1:31 am #859998Thanks everyone! The “Red Flame” has found a home.
Yeah he was a LP that was signed & sold in the store not on E-bay if I remember correctly.
