yes, definitely the first pic, the flash in the last pic makes him look washed out! great job! beautiful, blue-tiful piece! you were clearly trying to do something extremely difficult with those scales; good lord you are brave!! that is death defying painting! when i saw him i said “OOOOOOOOH” out loud, lol!

Thanks for all the feedback so far, everybody. I just hope she’s 😯 in the sense of “I like” rather than “Hm, interesting…:?”:P
Yeah, the flash pictures really swallow her pale blues and blending. I’ll use non-flash with the beige background, maybe a white background one too, for the auction.
For the mane, I followed the sculpting as much as I could. The points pointed upward, toward her crest. That’s why it looks like she’s on blue fire, instead of having a natural-style mane with dark roots on the crest and white tips down by her throat.
I’ll use the mane design again, I’m sure.
