Xerxes had a demanding paint job, but at least he was complacent. This obstinate little beastie fought me the whole way, and I’m still not sure who won. 😕 Honestly, what do you think?
Now on E-Bay!
I want to put her on E-Bay this week. Which of these pictures should I use, if any?March 11, 2007 at 9:40 pm #490071March 11, 2007 at 9:42 pm #550852Dang girl! That is better than your last one! Use the first pic. Its perfect!
March 11, 2007 at 9:43 pm #550853Beautiful! I think the 1st and 2nd pictures look the best.
March 11, 2007 at 9:46 pm #550854yes, definitely the first pic, the flash in the last pic makes him look washed out! great job! beautiful, blue-tiful piece! you were clearly trying to do something extremely difficult with those scales; good lord you are brave!! that is death defying painting! when i saw him i said “OOOOOOOOH” out loud, lol!
March 11, 2007 at 9:47 pm #550855Thanks you all. That’s a relief. I’m uploading more pictures to Photobucket. This will be my first try selling anything on E-Bay, so I’m glad for any advice I can get.

March 11, 2007 at 10:07 pm #550858My pieces do seem to all end up intense, drag0n. I dunno – I guess I’m getting into a personal style? 😀
A good 20 hours of work went into her, SPark. I hope I get a decent return for them on E-Bay…March 11, 2007 at 10:20 pm #550859OMG GB!!!! That’s some kirin!!! 😯
I would use the first two photos.
March 11, 2007 at 10:23 pm #550860I like her mane, especially on the off side. I’d go with the pictures without flash for Ebay.
March 11, 2007 at 10:29 pm #550861Thanks for all the feedback so far, everybody. I just hope she’s 😯 in the sense of “I like” rather than “Hm, interesting…:?”:P
Yeah, the flash pictures really swallow her pale blues and blending. I’ll use non-flash with the beige background, maybe a white background one too, for the auction.
For the mane, I followed the sculpting as much as I could. The points pointed upward, toward her crest. That’s why it looks like she’s on blue fire, instead of having a natural-style mane with dark roots on the crest and white tips down by her throat.
I’ll use the mane design again, I’m sure.March 11, 2007 at 10:31 pm #550862I like!!!!! 😆 😆 😆
March 11, 2007 at 10:34 pm #550863wow… 😯 That looks awesome!
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
March 11, 2007 at 10:40 pm #550864The way you painted the mane and the scales make them look three dimensional. Its a really neat effect!
