December 6, 2007 at 6:33 pm #602076I grew up in San Jose, California and was lucky enough to have the opportunity of working at the Winchester Mystery House. Last year I got the chance to go visit again. I wanted pics that weren’t the standard, straight on view of the house. So this is what I got. As an interesting side note, in wading through our family history/genealogy I found that Sarah Winchester, builder of this house, is my 5th cousin 5 times removed.
Standard front view of the house. The one everyone takes…
Other views
Some of the roof line and architecture from the inside…
I’ve got more somewhere of the inside of the house and other architectural detail if anyone is interested!

December 7, 2007 at 4:37 am #602085That is the coolest house ever, with an amazingly strange history. Thanks for posting all the pics! I hope to make it there one day, just to see what I can see and get a feel for the place. My friend, who used to do paranormal investigations, went there (for personal interest, not research), and she said it was rather eerie (though cool) even without equipment. And it’s only half the fun being in it… gotta look at your pictures afterwards to see if anybody was present in the shot. The one pic (yellow doorway w/ bookshelf) might… there’s an orb there. Or could be dust… it is hard to tell at times .
December 7, 2007 at 6:09 am #602086More Amarillo colors… all the same sunset…

So that’s the Winchester house. I think I’ve just found my dream mansion. 😆 -
