Anybody else gonna screw up their sleep schedule and go find a dark spot after midnight to watch?
I think I will. I might even try to make my camera take pictures.

That’s all timezones from my understanding. I’m just upset because it’s impossible to escape the light pollution in the city, making stargazing near impossible.
August 12, 2008 at 1:16 pm #727703when exactly? did I already miss it?
August 12, 2008 at 2:22 pm #727704The peak was last night/this morning, but if you go out tonight after the moon sets you’ll probably still see a few.
August 12, 2008 at 2:23 pm #727705shoot….I missed most of it…ah well, I may see if I can see some at dark tonight.
August 12, 2008 at 2:39 pm #727706We were fully clouded over last night. 🙁 Darn. I had been looking forward to this one for the last two months.

My art: featherdust.comAugust 12, 2008 at 3:07 pm #727707I was only out for about 45 minutes and saw quite a few, so I reckon even tonight, if it’s clear, there will still be some.
And isn’t there another in November? *will have to go look*

October, if I recall correctly. The Orionid meteor shower. Not quite as bright and active as the Perseids, but it’s still a beautiful one to watch if the weather’s cooperating.
August 12, 2008 at 5:02 pm #727709I remember watching them last year. It was neat!!!
Last night we were overcast too so we couldn’t see anything either.
August 12, 2008 at 5:09 pm #727710August 12, 2008 at 6:18 pm #727711There is also the Leonids around November 15-18 or so.
August 12, 2008 at 7:10 pm #727712I always try to catch this one, rather than the ones in Winter… the ones in Winter tend to leave me with frostbite. 😉

I expect to see some into the weekend at the lake where it’s much darker. -
