I posted on the knock off thread, I am interested in rescuing him and restoring him to a lovely pearl white though that shipping is highway robbery, even using usps which I often do because well, it’s just easier with a two year old in tow it shouldn’t be over 17.00 tops! If no one else grabs him tonight, I just might. The only thing is I already have two males, the peacock I grew up drooling over and vowed to own one day and the amazing King parrot which is my one and only and very beloved #1 paint so I would eventually be rehoming him. That being said and hopefully not stepping on any toes with a “repaint” suggestion if anyone was interested in taking him off my hands I’d be more than happy to snag him for sure.

LOL! I’d be in for that ^_^ I just finished my last commission so I have an empty plate at the moment. I’m also just on a tight budget at the moment.

Not sure if it would be fee-sable to restore the white paint, depends on what kind of paint he is painted with… it DOES look like it is flaking off pretty easily around the tail though.

It looks to me like some cheap applebarrel quality acrylic, it might come off easily because of the protective coat on the original paint job but even under the best conditions he’ll need a new coat over the scrap. If the funds get raised and you take him on I know you are a very skilled artsit and he’s in good hands =) I’ll let him be for now and wait to see what happens tomorrow with him. But I am up for nabbing him and doing any repaint a potential buyer/adopter would be interested in as well, if White was requested I work with pearl acrylics and dust my statues with pearl ex pigments of which I have whites with all manners of interference shines.

No problem stormbringer! I’m glad to know he’s with you at a good home 🙂 and thank you! I reeeaaaaly also wanted that green tabby griffin *pants like a dog* that’s my all time favorite griffin and just about died after I found it and the auction was far done. Lol

While of course the official stance has always been that Windstone discourages repaints, um, in this situation I suspect everyone would be cheering behind the lines if someone changed his attire!

If dragon has a open plate right now I’d say go for it, I’m in the middle of about 15 castings of my art dolls so I’m up to my elbows lol ^_^;; I’ll snag him if I don’t see anyone else grab him if it comes to that.

My best guess is that our rescue plan has been foiled :(( . I apologize to ALL the other members for not acting soon enough. I never heard back from the seller 😐 (about the shipping charges). We lost this one 🙁 .
