November 12, 2007 at 2:22 am #632975😡 I would be pretty upset too. I hope eBay gives a good explanation and makes things right. You are paying them good money for their service after all…

My art: featherdust.comNovember 12, 2007 at 2:55 am #632976Well, I mean, if something illegitimate really is going on with the winning bidder, then it IS right that ebay should mess with the listing…and I can only assume that it’s the winning bidder because they have sniped both times and the listing is always canceled after it has ended. 🙁 The winning bidder of this auction was not the same as the last one (I’m not 100% positive as I didn’t write either of them down, but I’m pretty sure.) So I’m really not sure why this keeps happening to this one dragon…unless it’s the same person trying to get it illegally with multiple accounts? But how do they even know if they’re using someone else’s ebay account without authorization?? How do they catch something like that??
I think I was the second highest bidder both times (not sure about the first one, but I am sure I was on this one) the first time it ended at $1125 or close to it, this time it ended at $1325. I think the next bid down after me both times was around $750 or $850…I wonder how much this person (if it is the same person as last time) has been jacking up the bid. 😡

-J R R TolkienNovember 12, 2007 at 6:43 am #632977That’s weird. If it was the same person both times, you’d think they’d have learned after the first time the auction was cancelled. $1300 would be such a great price for that dragon… Sorry, John. I hope it does sell to a good home somehow.
November 13, 2007 at 1:30 am #632978Any more news? ❓

November 13, 2007 at 6:17 am #632981I asked Karen, and she said that John is looking into it with their ebay rep. We’ll see… 🙁

November 13, 2007 at 10:42 am #632983You said it. I suppose it wouldn’t do to sell it to the second highest bidder?

Since it happened twice, what is to say that the second highest bidder was the same person. It would be hard to decide if it was two different person that had the second highest bid in both auctions. To choose the second highest bidder from the second auction would not be fair to the one that was in the first (if it was not the same).
