Yep, I agree.
December 5, 2007 at 10:15 pm #642534I have an OW in the older peacock and he’s my favorite Windstone. I wouldn’t trade him for anything. 🙂
December 5, 2007 at 10:34 pm #642535I like the older Peacock color better too. It just looks richer and more shimmery.
December 5, 2007 at 10:43 pm #642536I like both of them, but most oif what I have is old peacock. 🙂
December 5, 2007 at 11:17 pm #642537I have a mix….my OW and young dragon are the original peacock. My Scratcher is the 2nd type of peacock…more vibrant than the original, but not as bright as the later peacocks. My sitting Spectral and my fledgling are from the last peacock coloring, which is the brighter one. My female coiled dragon fits in there somewhere. 🙂
December 6, 2007 at 6:31 am #642538I think both colors are good represenitives of the peacock coloring…the older color works well for the first generation Dragons with the finer scales…while the newer color works for later Dragons which have much larger scales… so really they both work.. 😀
December 6, 2007 at 6:34 am #642539Personally I prefer the newer peacock, because it’s brighter. I have both kinds. My family is the really old peacock, my scratcher, OW and Riser are the 2nd kind, and my fledge and sitting Spectral are the bright version.
December 6, 2007 at 6:49 am #642540I don’t think the really bright colors bring out the detail well enough…maybe on some of the other pieces..but not really the peacock ones.
December 6, 2007 at 8:52 am #642541I like the newer Peacock version, but now with the Em-Pea color, the new Peacock and Em-Pea are too similar.

That’s what I thought also. That is way I put the other pictures of the warriors so you guys would see what I meant.

That’s true. The only difference I can see in them is that EmPea has more green, but of course that can vary from painter to painter.
December 6, 2007 at 3:37 pm #642544Wow, that is a pretty big difference. I only have two peacocks, so I guess I’m glad one is the newer color (fledge) and the other is old school (scratcher)!
December 6, 2007 at 8:38 pm #642545I still think this guy is one of the most beautiful dragons I’ve seen. The old peacock looks great on him.
December 6, 2007 at 8:54 pm #642546Man, I wish I’d gotten one of those…I love my Em Pea OW but I just love the old peacock colour.
December 6, 2007 at 9:00 pm #642547I’m partial to the old peacock color, myself. It just looks richer and (it sounds odd) feels richer too. It is just more visually satisfying. I have a male dragon in the old peacock color. He is very subdued in lower light and *pops* in direct sunlight. Yummy!
