Melody, those Ocelot Griffins are simply beautiful! Wow!
In the Blog you asked about eye-colours and it seems that everyone wants something different. I don´t know how many Griffins there will be in this batch, but if it´s only a few wouldn´t it be possible to let the buyer choose between the 5 different colours you have in the blog-photo? Or is this too much hassle?
I know it would mean that they will take a few days longer until they can be shipped, but then they would all be different and every buyer would be 100% satisfied 😉
Either way, I hope very much that I will be lucky enough to get one 🙂Do you plan to paint females and chicks, too?
June 27, 2012 at 3:32 pm #882458I voted for orange mostly and brown if not . No green eyes or green jewels please .

I was thinking of letting the buyer choose, but that would be an immense hassle for the packers. The other way would be to just make the eye colors random, but then people would be trading, and these are big and expensive to ship around.
Yes I’ll do females , but oy, painting little chicks like this may be tough… well, I’ll see how hard it is to paint chicks.
June 27, 2012 at 5:39 pm #882467I don’t like the idea of mixing them all up.. I don’t wanna have to trade a large griff for one that has beige eyes when I can just hope they all get beige… or brown, brown is my second pick.
I also think the teal or blue gems would be pretty for them! 🙂

please do chicks! I want a cute little chick in this pattern, perhaps two! squeak!
4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat
2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White
4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinJune 27, 2012 at 6:45 pm #882476I’m not a fan of natural colored eyes, but I have to say that light beige color is very flattering with the scheme *nods*

I´m the total opposite: I really like the green eyes on these and the blue ones are a very close second. But it seems like there is not much love here for blue-eyed griffins ;-).
I could live with brown though.Yes I’ll do females, but oy, painting little chicks like this may be tough… well, I’ll see how hard it is to paint chicks.
Females would be wonderful! I always wanted a special mama for my chicks and she would be perfect.
I can imagine that this pattern is difficult on the little ones, but should you ever try it I´m sure they will turn out supercute!June 27, 2012 at 7:16 pm #882482Faints!! Oh my! These are so beautiful! I think the straw colored eyes look the best!
Kalandra
June 27, 2012 at 7:19 pm #882483I liked the green too, but it reminds me too much of the wolf griffins with them, but the green would be my second choice after the beige. Periwinkle just looks good in everything, but I’m sort of getting sick of them already, LOL! Same with blue eyes. The dark brown I thought just looked sort of scary and the orange was so so
Are we calling the straw/beige the same thing? I thought that color was the best. We haven’t had any store griffins with either color of that.

Dreamscape, Orion, Poison Dart, Fireberry, Spangler + Tigerberry DragonsJune 27, 2012 at 7:36 pm #882485“Straw” was the name originally given to the light yellow PYO wolf eyes. Straw is a little less yellow than real “light yellow” (the color used in white dragons). 4mm is the only eye size that straw is available in. We renamed the straw wolf eyes to “light yellow” though because they are almost the same color (when ordering PYO wolves, it is called light yellow instead of straw).
Metallic beige/tan was my failed attempt to make a metallic gold. We used this color in GB unis and Peach Poads.
June 27, 2012 at 8:47 pm #882491They look amazing! I sure hope griffin chicks are possible! 🙂

I loved this color in my uni (if it is what was used on safari baby unis) so if ya’ll had that for griffs I’d be very, very happy!

I think the green reminds me too much of the older colored wolf griffins and the periwinkle, though I adore that color a lot, reminds me of the new color silver wolf griffins. I normally like orange eyes on griffins, but they don’t do it for me on these guys. Might be the clash with the teal markings.
June 27, 2012 at 10:52 pm #882503I’m curious to know, if it’s been decided how much these guys are going to be?
