They are cute . But watching them go off a cliff is no fun . Saw it years ago on tv . Poor things . At least some of them stop before following the others to their death .
At least a pebble one wouldn’t do that .Lemmings running off of a cliff due to overpopulation and whatnot is a myth. Ignorant human film makers scared them so badly they ran off a cliff to get away. I agree, it was pretty sad.

I think it’s still cute. But I feel bad for that poor scared lemming.
That’s a big ditto for me. Poor scared , cute little thing. He’s only defending himself. Imagine being a hungry fox or lynx trying to take him out. They’d get a nose full of teeth! make them work for that meal *lol*.

Do people usually collect guinea pigs? (Just curious – I really don’t know the answer.)

I once heard that it was Disney that did a film on lemmings and purposefully made them jump off cliffs for the film.
As if I needed more reasons to hate Disney!
I’ve got a pet lemming! She’s a steppe lemming, so technically she’s a vole. And she doesn’t run off edges… she backs off them. *facepalm*
Still. Adorable. This is a pic of her parents. (I used to have several breeding pairs, but this one is my very last one. Last one in Ontario, at least until I can import some more.)
