This is my first time posting artwork here… what took me so long?!
Anyway, I don’t know if there are many (or any) Neil Gaiman fans here, but I just recently finished a series of portraits of his characters from The Sandman, the Endless. They’re posted in my LJ, so feel free to take a look!

Yeah, she definitely came out the best. I’ve had two friends ask me if I based her on myself now, and I’m just flattered that they think I’m that pretty. : P
Thanks muchly. 😀

Haha, actually, if someone hadn’t told me they thought I looked like her, I never would’ve discovered the series at all (and might not have met my fiance, for that matter). : )
The Sandman was actually a comic book series in the early-to-mid 90’s, but it wasn’t your typical “people fighting in colourful spandex costumes” kind of comic book. It was about a family of beings, older than gods, who are responsible for death, dreams, despair, etc. Really good stuff. : )
August 4, 2008 at 10:58 pm #726747Nice work! I especially liked Destiny. 😀

After Watchmen, the Sandman was the first English comic book I ever read. Love it!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

That sounds really interesting!
So how did you meet your fiancé (if you feel like tellin’)?
August 5, 2008 at 12:08 am #726752Those are excellent. Is there anyway I can convince you to let me print them out? I’d love to have a framed set!!
Sandman is the very first series of graphic novels I ever read…leading me to the Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Kabuki by David Mack…and a whole list of other greats.
August 5, 2008 at 12:15 am #726753Destiny is the one that stands out most to me. 🙂
Beautiful work!

Thank you! As Destiny was one of the most difficult, I’m happy to hear that someone likes him best. : )

Sandman ruined me for other comics. I just could not view X-Men the same way after discovering Neil’s world. : )
