A friend list would be neat!
Deleting of topics is turned off on purpose, and it is for legal reasons.

Yeah, I don’t know how hard it would be to add something like that, but if it’s not an awful amount of work I’d love to see it added.
Oh, well in that case I guess we’ll just have to forget that one. Is deleting of individual posts turned off too for the same reason?
Is there any way that the private message window can be made wider? Currently, there’s about 4-500 pixels worth of space, and with text only that doesn’t really matter, but when you’re trying to show people pictures of things it makes it impossible to send along a decent sized image (in my opinion). It seems like the panel where people’s names and avatars are is taking up about a third of the space, and it’s noticeably more than it takes even on the forum itself! If that column could be made thinner it would make a big difference.
Edit- I’ve also noticed that in PMs, people’s avatars and names are NEXT to each other, instead of the name on top of the avatar. If this could be switched to the way it is on the main forums, maybe this would free up some space?
For anyone interested: on the main forum (not in PMs), you can have an image around 700 pixels wide for it to fit completely within the confines of the forum borders. I have just started sizing my images around that dimension and it works well 🙂

It doesnt hurt to click the notify button more than once, but I agree it would be nice if users could have a list of what they have clicked.
Is there anyway to clear up the marketplace somehow? Many members have multiple FS and WTB threads, and many of the FS threads are finished with, and the item sold a long time ago. It makes trying to find anything in particular next to impossible, even with the search function. There are so many threads in the marketplace that I can’t even find my own FS thread anymore to update it. Other forums I have been on we marked the thread complete or please delete just to clear it up. And we are limited to one FS thread, and one WTB thread. It makes finding things much easier.

Something like that is up to the original poster to maintain, unfortunately. We don’t have the resources to keep track of everyone’s sale threads and whether or not certain items are still for sale. 🙁
But if it could be made known to the forum members to mark complete threads for deletion they could at least be deleted?

We really don’t like to delete any content like that, for legal reasons and (electronic) papertrails.
Maybe, however, we could create a hidden retirement list where old sales threads can go. Unfortunately, I think this would NOT help you out because the search engine would still see them and bring them up in your searches…

i.e., the first page (level) is a list of the states that are links to individual pages for each state. It would be a lot easier to search than to have to page through the entire list or jump a couple of pages and hope you guessed right.
Just a thought to make it easier to try to find stores when travelling to new areas.
