No problem, I just PMed you with some info regarding the emeralds.
You guys know what I mean, about the dark emeralds (jade) and the orange eyed emeralds. I know there are some comparison pictures somewhere of jade and emerald scratchers and oriental dragons but I can’t find them.
Well, I have to say, this was the most exercise my database ever got! 😆 That was fun!
April 15, 2007 at 5:25 am #562154is your peacock fledge the newer bright color, or the older one with a lot of the “champage” color on him?
April 15, 2007 at 6:54 am #562155It was a pleasure to meet all of you, and many thanks to those who did make purchases. Many more thanks to LIH, for the research, and the rest of you who helped me with the sentimentality debate. What a great community, honest and so friendly! If it wasn’t so great, I probably wouldn’t have spent 7 hrs on here… yikes! I’m beat,
Goodnight!
April 15, 2007 at 6:59 am #562156I’ve never seen a fledgeling in the older version of peacock.
Is there such a thing? The fledgeling is a newer sculpt, I kind of assumed that it was put into production after the switch to the newer color scheme.
April 15, 2007 at 7:54 am #562157Hey! Welcome to the forums! I just had to sell a couple day before yesterday. My opinion is that if you cant replace it, or if its too sentimental, dont sell it. It left a few available for sale and I got the money I needed. 🙂
April 15, 2007 at 10:09 am #562158Welcome to the Forum. What does he have for sale?
April 15, 2007 at 4:21 pm #562159My two cents is that anything your mom gave you that makes you feel sick to think about selling you should keep. I know they are things but they have memories of your mom attached to them. Even if you can replace them in the future they won’t be the one your mom gave you. Let your husband sell his PS3 if need be. Also, you might want to have him talk to a financial counselor.
April 15, 2007 at 5:04 pm #562160I want the ki-rin mother please!. Can you PM me the condition of the male ki-rin? I want a baby too. Lemme know ASAP!
HOOFERS! YAY! 😀
EDIT: Huh. That’s funny. I coulda swore there was a male and momma ki-rin listed. Did they already sell? Are there no hoofers left? ;_;

I second this!
April 15, 2007 at 5:22 pm #562162zorse, she removed them, one whole family of the male, mother and one baby, as they had perhaps the most sentmental value ( and an extra special hand me down for family).. she wanted to keep something and that was it, along with whatever else doesn’t sell. those were the pieces she couldn’t bear to part with. i feel for you, i was eye ballin’ the mom myself, lol, but i wouldn’t want to take a piece that was precious to someone.
April 15, 2007 at 5:32 pm #562163I feel old typing this (all of 26….) but when my husband and I first got together, and married, we were 19. I still remember, we were pizza delivery drivers. He HAD to have the very first x-boxes when they came out. So, the rent was late, and the tanks were empty. We had to put every tip we earned in the tank to get to Sharon, because the local walmart was sold out. It was awful. Very stressful. Very stupid.
I was big into model horses at the time. The arguement was that that he wanted ONE x-box, and I had SEVERAL horses. We did end up selling off the bulk of my private collection to pay bills. It sucked. Yes, they are items that can be replaced. But, trust me, when you look at that replaced dragon, it won’t be the same, because it’s just not the one mom gave you. The “same”, but not THE SAME.
One thing I would warn you of, if your husband is a taker, and you are a giver, you’ll end up with some problems. New marriage is hard. But, when you end up selling everything and you’re left with nothing, and he gets it all…..heads roll after a while.
But, that’s just my .32 (never just give 2 cents!) 🙄
April 15, 2007 at 5:48 pm #562164Welcome safyre! I actually just moved to the central coast last summer with my new husband as well, lol! If you don’t mind me asking, do you know what city you’ll be moving too? There are several collectors in the area. Wolflodge of this forum lives just a few miles from me, lol! Anyways, it’s a wonderful place to live. I’m just loving it here! ^^

I agree. I didn’t see that post. Definitely keep the ones most valuable to you!
In that case… howbout the bad cat candlelamp, and the young pegasus? Are they still available for purchase?
April 15, 2007 at 7:15 pm #562166zorse, there was no post to see. i got the coiled from her- or will- and i asked about the kirin initially, then asked where it went. she told me in a pm, so thats how i know. you didn’t miss anything and you’re not losing your mind! lol!
April 15, 2007 at 7:20 pm #562167As much as I would rather have a female peacock in the newer brighter version, I can’t bring myself to part with my “First ever” Windstone…My Gramma got her for me, and I just…Can’t. 😳
