😯 Oh boy, I actually feel sick to my stomach.
To be honest, I’m looking to sell a few pieces here and there to get myself afloat. If I were to sell everything here, I’d earn myself $3600.. but I’d be with sad, empty curios.
It’s heartbreaking. Most of this pieces were purchased for me by my late mother, so it’s hard to let them go without a few tears.
I’m only twenty years old, newly wed, making a big move with my husband to his new job in Central Coast California… He’s spent my money on new things for him (PS3, 2007 Car, etc) without an emergancy cushion.
Can anyone here give me advise? Should I truly be selling these? I know you all want them, I want them too… Which is why, after having posted and even sold a few items, I want to rethink and get some feedback.Wow. That’s a tough one 😕
Well, I’d definately say that if they mean so much to you, keep them! 😀 They are your babies first, and there must be some other way to get up some money. Or you could let go just the mutiples and the few that don’t mean so very much and keep the rest. I know for quite a few of us here selling off the Windstones is a last resort 😆
April 15, 2007 at 2:37 am #562139I agree with what Tsija and Megani said.
April 15, 2007 at 3:26 am #562140If I may give an opinion as a neutral observer, since I didn’t make an offer on any of your pieces 😉
For me, when it comes right down to it, they’re just things. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my dragons and will be collecting for many years to come. However, if there were need, as there was for me a short time ago, I would (and did) sell some pieces.
Depending on how much need there is, definitely don’t sell everything. Like others have said, don’t sell the ones that have the most sentimental value to you.
But then again, everyone feels differently and you will just have to do what feel right to you.
Good Luck 🙂
April 15, 2007 at 4:09 am #562141Welcome to this community, Safyre! Enjoy your stay.
So how many of the pieces of the list on the first page are available or sold?April 15, 2007 at 4:12 am #562142Fair warning to all: safyre_dream has asked me for the average selling price on her items and after a quick check I did tell her that if her items were in fact in mint condition, she was below market price on most of them, too high on a few, but mostly too low.
I’m just waiting to hear back from her on the exact state of her collection, meaning are any items where she didn’t list any damage in fact in mint condition or not. For average value it doesn’t matter if it’s with or without box.
So I’m waiting to hear back from her and I’ll send her the list.

That’s good of you, littleironhorse 🙂 We definately don’t want anyone to sell themselves short!
April 15, 2007 at 4:31 am #562145Thanks, Safyre.
And I think that’s fair, LIH. Those are very good prices she has listed, but Safyre should get what they’re really worth. Will the list be updated with new prices?April 15, 2007 at 4:53 am #562146Welcome to the forums!! 😀
I am sorry to hear about your financial situation.
Honestly I can’t answer, I haven’t really ever sold a Windstone in order to pay bills. Infact, I haven’t really sold many period, now that I think aobut it! 😆
My problem would have been the new car and PS3 he bought for himself out of my money, thus causing me to have to sell something I really cherished. But that is me, not you. 😀
There are a few peices I was eyeballing in there myself. 😳April 15, 2007 at 4:59 am #562147Greater Basilisk wrote:Thanks, Safyre.

To be honest, I doubt I’ll sell any of the white dragons.April 15, 2007 at 5:02 am #562148Another white dragon lover? 😀 I hope you can get by without selling a lot of your prized possessions – though you do have a lot that I would like… 😆
April 15, 2007 at 5:06 am #562149I thought it would be simpler to just post my list here. Just a few reminders first:
1. Those are AVERAGE selling prices, which means that they have gone higher AND lower on ebay, sometimes significantly.
2. The prices are given based on information given to me by Safyre, I have not myself seen the items in question.
3. On ebay the prices of items listed as mint does not vary significantly with or without the box so I haven’t taken it into account.
4. For the prices of the peacock dragons, I have only used the sales listed after retirement, since January 1st 2007, I know they were retired in November 2006, but since my list is by 3 month period, I couldn’t go back any further.
5. All other prices were based on my list going back to Oct. 1st 2006.
6. The list I’m posting here is in no way binding for Safyre, she’s the one selling these items and if she decides to sell them twice the amount I’ve posted it’s entirely her choice.
