Hubble Dark Matter

This is the collab I did with MGutz. She did the Hubble base with all the lovely stars, I added more colors and the ‘Dark Matter’ stripes. This was a lot of fun to do. I really love Mgutz airbrushing and her Hubble series has always been something I really love, so this really was an exciting collab for me.

soooo pretty! He takes my breath away! Personally, I would have done the rock a different color, but the colors used are PERFECT and sooo tranquil and serene *dreamy sigh*

beautiful job, Koishii!! I really love the neck feathers on the griffin, and how he looks like a completely different scheme from the front! The colors are beautiful. And the Hubble Dark Matter phoenix is STUNNING! I loved her when you posted her in progress pic before, and she’s even more beautiful now 🙂

I love the Okapi Uni, Koi. Come to think of it, you have never done a Unicorn I didn’t love. You definitely have a flair for them.

The colors on the Phoenix are simply beautiful. They look so soft and delicate, and they give him an almost mystical look. Everyone does the Phoenix rock in “rock” colors, so I appreciate seeing a new take on the subject. The entire piece is lovely; you both did an outstanding job. 🙂

Where are the photos of yours? I remember seeing yours, that was my first intro to an okapi. I remember thinking,” aoka-what? I’ve never heard of this animal!”

Awesome job on the latest pyo’s, great detail and the colors are so vivid. The phoenix came out great too. It amazes me how the two of you can have two different visions and put them together where they compliment each other so beautifully.

Thanks guys! I really love reading the feedback. What you guys like or do not like about these pieces.

I have some more commissions that will be being worked on. A really awesome Keeper for Mgutze, if you guys remember my Pipedream dragonsnails I did for Dfeathers and myself, then you have some what of an idea where this is going, heehee. And I have another okapi pyo uni, this for wolfen. This one will have some lovely lighter colors to it.

I was thinking of doing a tiger griffin, but that might have to wait. I also have a black dragon, wold, and two pheonixes that are shelved for right now.

I thought you guys would like to see the progress of this one. I do not often do real ‘wild’ stuff on pyo’s because they are not something that really appeal to a wide audience and if I paint it, it needs to sell..But if you have seen my art, you know I love rainbow drenched themes and wild colorations. Needless to say, I was simply stoked when Mgutz asked for this commission. He is a rainbow theme, and he will have stripes added. But here he is with out stripes so far.
