WOW! I cant believe HOW MANY HOURS I put into this sassy little thing 😯 πŸ˜† LMAO!
Alrighty here’s what I did…I painted the belly, arms, legs scales with black…that ended up being TOO much BLACK on the KiRin so I thought…these KiRins are supposed to be magical LOL, so I layered the black with a red interference paint…for some stupid reason it looked purple….so I then layered it over that with a red oxide interference paint and then trimmed it with black to really bring the colors out. IT LOOKS SWEET! Its HARD to tell in the pictures, but from one angle it looks almost a reddish purple, and from another angle it looks reddish coppery. Ok, then the mane I was having issues with at first, but this was supposed to be a tribal KiRin and Water wanted the mane to have a black tipped mane…so I came up with a tribal tipping, I also put a cool black design on the top of its head to blend it in with the mane, but as I put the feathers on it kinda covered it up a bit…ohhh well…then added 3 clear stones on the brim of his snout with three red stripes, and there is also light pink on its snout and around the eyes as she wanted. And then painted the little fangs a copper color. I think this one turned out pretty well for my 2nd KiRin! LMAO they dont like me πŸ˜† πŸ˜† !!

If you guys would like to see the WIP pics which show the details better please feel free to go to:

He looks great! I really like the feather and tribal markings. And I haven’t been fond of them in the past, but I like the addition of the stones… small, delicate and seem natural in the paint scheme.

          Wow! what a neat kirin!

While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!

I really like the mane, tail and the stripe going down the back into the tail. And the face is adorable.

Thank you all sooo very much! You know what…the mane and tail were the spots I was concerned about the most! I re-did it 3 times LOL, cause I just couldnt get it the way I wanted it to turn out πŸ™„ LOL. But it seems that they have turned out to be the best feature of this KiRin!

And thank you Lokie, yea, the stones were only meant to accent and to be subtle, I didnt want them to take away from the whole KiRin.

I just wish you all could see it in person, it looks sooo much better and am going to be sad to see it go hehe! But I KNOW he/she (Water hasnt told me what it is yet LOL) is going to have an awesome home and be well taken care of. πŸ˜€

If anyone else may be interested in one, OR any other PYO for that matter, please feel free to PM me…I will be happy to make one to your specifications, since I actually prefer to have someone tell me what to make and to paint…I find it a challenge and live for it! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€ And also Since I REALLY HATE Ebay right now LMAO! But I dont think I am the only one! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

That is SO cool, DC! Watergazer’s lucky. I love her mane.
The one eyes reminds me of a target… But she really looks great. And I know I ask almost everyone this, but how many hours did you put into her?

            #559243

Thanks GB! πŸ˜€ The circle is commonly found on the Indians war horses….why dunno…just is! HAHA!

Anyhow, well this lil booger took me bout 30 hours…ONLY cause I couldnt get the darned mane to cooperate with me 😯 πŸ˜† ….and I am VERY picky when it comes to painting…so if its NOT done right then I do it over til I get it right πŸ˜• , which in this case I re-did the mane 3 times πŸ˜†
But it finally turned out beautifully, but I was still nervous that Water wouldnt like it, but she did. **PHEW** 😳

I know the Indians used that target design on their horses – I still think it looks funny. πŸ˜†
30 hours – that’s something. But she turned out great with all that work.
