Hey!
My mother’s attempting to write a novel for the NaNoWriMo contest (50000 word novel in a month)! From what I hear, it’s actually really good! Although she probably won’t finish in the month, she’s still thinking of possibly trying to publish it eventually, so she may be on the lookout for some beta readers soon. If interest is garnered here, I might suggest some of you guys to her to read it…
I wouldn’t have mentioned it, but it *is* about dragons… all she told me was that it’s about dragons (who are not evil!) and the young girl who befriends them. That’s about all I know about it. Her panel, at the 1/2 way mark reading, said they were really excited about it.
So if anyone might be interesting in being a beta reader sometime in the future (it’s a good idea really, people who aren’t family or close friends can really make a good sounding board, and you just can’t find then in a small town like Valleyview) – reply here and I can pass it along to her. 🙂 I want to help all I can – it’s the first time she’s done something for herself in a looooooooooooong time!

Most of my writer friends haven’t been putting out too much of late, so I certainly wouldn’t mind being a beta if she needs more. 😀
