Omg you are right! It’s less like that now that i added red tones and gold and such but that’s uncanny all the same! LOL

More pics! These show each of the pausing points I took to let the paint dry so I could see how the colours were *really* looking since they dry darker than when wet 🙂

Deepening the orange

Starting to add red glazes

Here’s where he was before I started today’s session, where i started to add iridescence and lessen that eye-blinding red a little! LOL I ended up going through an odd process of lightening and then adding more red in the end because the interference red was a bit too pink for my taste, i’m not a big orange/pink fan LOL
