I just heard them cry for the first time just now…it sounds so sweet…got to record that so I can hear it again for therapy reasons. It soothes the mind. 😉

That’s so weird. They just turn their heads back and forth and make no noise. Are the parents feeding them? What do they eat?

Yes they are being fed by the parents…both of them! I never saw a father being so helpful and taking turns at feeding and keeping the young warm. Maybe humanity should take lessons there.

They are being fed some egg food with some seeds since the male refuses to eat the egg food. They do make sounds but didn’t while I was recording. I do have one video that I took late in the evening with no lights where you hear them cry a little.
I’ll post it in a few minutes 🙂

You can hear my canaries in the background but what you need to listen to is the faint sounds of chirping…

No the female canary would not sit on the eggs during the day only at night…I verified and the yolk is the only thing I see so I will remove them.
