All male dragons will have the year 86 on them because that’s when the sculpture was copyrighted. Most tags will have 2000 on them because that’s when they were copyrighted.

The Emerald Peacock coloration did not come into production until 2007. The first ones to come out had more violet on them than the later (and current) ones do.

A comparison pic, if anyone is interested. If you look at the mother dragon in this picture, you can see the difference in coloration…she was one of the original mothers sold. The rest are the newer coloration. I’m not going to adjust the size of the pic; you get a better view this way. I love her the best, but they are all beautiful.

Nice pic! Yeah the earlier ones are better in my opinion! I’m glad my male is of the earlier variety, I LOVE that purple.

Don’t forget the Red Fire ones are in the “possible retirement mode” if they can’t figure out the best way to get them to turn out like they did before the move

That’s a really cool story.Im around them all day at what my kids call the dragon factory but its soooo cool to see them out at stores in a different setting they seem a lot more “magical” for lack of a better term.Well congrats on a lovely dragon

When they where in LA/No Ho you could but now you should ask Melody if it’s OK since they just moved and for some time she was telling us not to visit since there was not much to see and everyone was so busy working to get the factory in order. Several of us have been there to visit in person. GB even got there when she was here from Switzerland
