November 4, 2010 at 9:08 pm #828763Dawn 🙂 That is my biological mother’s name. I never knew her but I like the name simply because its pretty. My next cat (I hope I can get a Turkish Angora before another stray finds me and decides to stay) I am naming Dawn. But only after Im kitty-less (which is not a day Im looking forward to!)

November 5, 2010 at 7:20 pm #828765I’ve had
Sabrina: Grey tuxedo tabby with bright green eyes (my best friend and angel RIP)
Salem: Black tuxedo
Meow-Meows: Mostly black calico (I WAS 3!!) who really was a stray…
And Tom: Ginger tabby kitten Yes, like Tom & Jerry.I would LOVE a pair of siamese named Koko & Yum Yum (the Cat Who… book series) or a black cat (maybe even a one-eyed rescue) named Pluto (Edgar Allen Poe’s The Black Cat). Then I would find a white collar with a black bell as his “hangman’s mark”.

RainPusscat was my first, we’re pretty sure she was even a full breed Maine Coon, but she “Strayed” her way into our family, & got to stay due to “Black Friday”/”Tornado ’87″(Bad Tornado that his Edmonton July 31st 1987) here. She was a Dro Dead Gorgeous Storm Cloud Blue-Grey Tuxedo. The colour of a Perfect storm cloud (Which we had many of that Day) NO Stripes except for a few on her face(The M, & oddly enough a few tan ones around her eyes that looked like makeup), a White spot that was like a rain drop going from her tail to her head, & on her white legs there were interesting spots of colour. I keep waiting for my Mom to get the Pics of her on the computer so that I can post some. I really really want to get a Windstone panted up like her (along with my other Critters, but she was the MOST special, with Jube close behind, & the other that’s the most important to me to get done). She was helped across the Bridge in 2005, & I believe that she came to us between a year or 2 old.
Rain is our current cat, she was a Dark/Black Silver-Blue body with Black Points until a year old when she shed out to a Black Smoke(With a Red Cast, which is really odd since she is definitely not Sun washed, since she’s odd & doesn’t like to lie in the sun) & as she’s been getting older her Lighter undercoat has been getting darker. She also has a Rain Drop shaped White Locket. She’s 9 years old now.

January 13, 2011 at 6:07 pm #828769I call my cats as a nickname Fuzzface . All of them . I’ve named mine , Spooky ( gray ) , Warlock ( black ) , Gypsy ( black ) , Mist Blue ( white with blue eyes ) , Bandit ( tabby ) , Katy ( calico ) . I knew a cat called Pyewacket ( spelling ) and one named Peanutbutter Sam . ( he was gray long haired . )
January 14, 2011 at 3:14 am #828770I think Rouge would be a pretty cool name for stay flapcats.
January 14, 2011 at 7:20 pm #828771My husband had a kitten he named Diesel. He had found it during a thunderstorm. it was under a diesel truck. He put him in his jacket pocket and brought him home. He had to rename him Diesel May when she came home pregnant. 😀 I think everyone came up with some great cat names already. I know all my cat names have been listed. Good luck Melody, you’ll need it to sort through all of them.
January 14, 2011 at 10:20 pm #828772We always name cats after gods & goddesses. After all, they all think they should be worshipped. Persephone (Queen of the Underworld), Zeus (the head god), Apollo (the sun-god), Inanna (Queen of Heaven & Earth), Dumuzi (Inanna’s consort).
