We need names for “Stray Cat edition flapcats cats.
It sounds easy, but when the time comes to name one our minds go blank.
Funny, weird, or beautiful words all work. Even real names work. Names of gems, types of music, colors, plants, weird animals, mental conditions…October 12, 2010 at 9:32 pm #501741October 12, 2010 at 9:38 pm #828700Seinfeld 😀
October 12, 2010 at 9:38 pm #828701Teaser, Jelli, Bean, Cotton, Lee, Jack, Pharoah, Skippy (all cats I have had).
Coyote, Gandalf (cats I have now).
Little Bit, Ace, Sable, Sasha, Lego (cats I know or have known).October 12, 2010 at 9:39 pm #828702Cyprus, Jinx, Malachi or Malachite. I know countless cat names, work at a vet for 9 years and cat rescue for 8 years. 😉
October 12, 2010 at 9:46 pm #828703How fun! I love coming up with names. Our silver tabby kitten that we lost was named Merlin, but we often called him Merlinski. However, that led to me trying to put “ski” on the end of all our pets names which just really doesn’t work with Seraphina. I once knew a rescue cat named Puppy somehow it oddly fit. I tend to delve into a story and think of all the names from it hence why my tuxedo cat Nikodemus is named from the story The Secret of Nimh. You can go through a ton looking at Arthurian legends, names of Gaelic, Greek, or Roman Gods/Goddesses/heros. Granted some of those get to be a bit much, but there are the short and sweet ones like Thor. 8)
