I haven’t done a poem in ages and been dealing with health issues and a horrible cold earlier in the month, but hopefully not too bad for some inspiration at an early hour this morning!
May Raffle
The time has come to put to pen,
Our request we hope won’t baffle.
It’s time for the Forum’s May Raffle!Slithering tails in all sizes and colors.
With teeth and claws that horde for more,
Perhaps a dragon is in store?Round, precocious; a curious sort.
Works of art to write an ode,
Could the piece we see be a poad? :>With nickers and neighs they prance about.
Some horned while others fly,
Maybe an equine will drop on by?Gleaming eyes and wings to soar.
Talons and beaks ever steady,
A proud feathered griffin could be ready!Gazing from up on high from their perch,
Lithe and wary flying purrrfection.
A flap cat may catch our attention!Shining scales, flowing fur, some clawed, some hooved.
Benevolent, wise and from a far,
Will a kirin or dragon be the star?Now that you have heard our plea,
We sit and wait to see
What Melody’s choice for the May Raffle will be!It’s great! Can’t wait to see what it will be!
