We’re planning to do a live-stream on the Windstone Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/WindstoneEditions/ – to show off the next grab bag batch -Male Gothic unicorns in Safari colors!
We’ve done some Safari ones as special items, and I did a small color shift fantasy grab bag batch about ten years ago, but I think this is the first safari grab bag we’ve done of this unicorn.
( I figured all the kids needed more parents.)
We haven’t decided on the day and time yet, but I will announce it when we do!March 24, 2026 at 3:53 pm #1705708We just posted this on the Facebook Official Fan Club group:
“Announcement! The live stream of the Safari Grab Bag Male Gothic Unicorns will be tomorrow starting around Noon (12pm pacific). Check back here [to the Facebook Official Fan Club group] to join in watching a parade of Grab Bag Unicorns before they enter their safe, dark and cozy mystery boxes. Hosted with commentary, so feel free to ask questions as you take a peek and pick your favorite (with luck it could be yours).”
Hopefully I can post a link to it here as well – but things might be hectic at that time tomorrow!
These will not be sold during the Live Stream – it is just to show them off.
We haven’t established the price for them yet – or the day they will go up for sale from our webstore.
The Safari Grab Bag Male Gothic Unicorns will be one per customer and your order must ship to yourself at your own address.
We will announce their availability with an email newsletter – if you haven’t already done so, subscribe to it from the “subscribe” link at the bottom of this page.(They all look really good!)
SusieMarch 25, 2026 at 12:45 pm #1705735Can someone kindly explain to me how these grab bags work? I’ve been collecting Windstone for over 30 years but am new to this…….Thanks in advance.
March 25, 2026 at 1:57 pm #1705736A “Grab Bag Edition” is a batch of a figurine that Melody paints in all different colors – often with a theme such as these “Safari” Gothic Unicorns – each one is different (or sometimes there are some very similar “twins”). They are signed and sold one per customer after they have been boxed up and we do not know what color the one we are sending you is. What the one you got looks like is a surprise when you open the box. We email our newsletter announcement out when we are ready to put them into our webstore. Be sure you are subscribed to the newsletter – there is a “subscribe” button at the bottom of this page. They are usually sold “first come first served” – we have tried other methods but usually do it this way – the down fall is that the website might crash if there is too much traffic on it and you will have to wait for it to come back to life. No method of sale for these is perfect and we apologize if you miss out on a grab bag. Lots of selling and trading among our collectors takes place in the weeks after a grab bag – and we usually have a couple of leftovers that get auctioned at a later date through our ebay store.
The Safari colored Gothic Unicorns are going to be $460.00 each, One per customer and only shipping to the buyer’s address. There are approximately 240 of them available. Exactly when we will put them into the store is not planned yet, this will be announced in an emailed Newsletter.
Here is a link to past Grab Bag Editions – we try to give an idea of the possibilities included in the large batch in the store photo: https://windstoneeditions.com/grab-bags/
The photo at the top of that page was our last Grab Bag of Gothic Unicorn Kids – the upcoming male Gothic Unicorns are meant to match a lot of the Kids in that group.March 25, 2026 at 2:06 pm #1705738The live stream continues on Facebook – here’s a link to it: https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=watch_permalink&v=25534436722898561&rdid=J0nSNEwNLy7ANvPm
Hopefully its being recorded so that it can be viewed later on as well!March 26, 2026 at 6:13 am #1705750Thank you 🙂 I also so the post on FB.
