Maks …Update Pg 8 February 2011

I’m so sorry. But hopefully the pills will make him feel better. I’m on prednisone myself – besides the weight gain the side effects aren’t too bad (although dogs tend to drink and urinate a lot on it!) I hope you are feeling better. *hugs*

Thanks everyone…he seems to be doing a bit better, now we’re just trying to work on his direah….hopefully that will clear up within the next few days…I just don’t know why his gas is so deadly lately… 😕

I just hate having him on all these meds…it kills me every single day to have to give them to him… 🙁

Sometimes meds containing sulfurs can cause some deadly gas…Jake has some really rotten gas at times too and we never vary his diet because of it (although he is not on medications of any sort).
I am very glad to hear Maks is doing better though! *hugs for Maks and you both* 🙂

Thanks, I know…but I guess the meds seem to be helping him because he is doing alot better now than he was a week ago, so I am just gonna have to suck it up I guess and keep on giving him the meds..

Hi Marzena, 🙁 sorry I haven’t been on the forum much except for the windstone auction thread and didn’t read on Maks. I hope he is better and trully hope he will get better. It’s never easy when our pet’s is so loved and part of the familly. Praying for him, luv ya! 🙂

Ohhh…today is a bad day, I spent my car drive into work crying…Maks seemed to be getting better and we got his direah under control but since Sunday he’s been a really picky eater and he’s been throwing up…this morning I just broke down, he trew up and I noticed little specks of blood in there, it just broke my heart 🙁 I really hope he’s not in pain, all I can think of is how crummy I feel when I throw up…the tears are just not wanting to stop 😥

So sorry to hear that Maks has taken a bad turn. I don’t know how old Maks is, you could have posted it and I missed it, but if he’s getting older, this could be the start of many other down turns for him health wise. It’s an emotional roller coaster and you start to question yourself if your beloved baby is suffering and could something be done about it. I know, I’ve gone through this myself and it is never, never easy. Sounds like you’ve tried everything you can and still Maks throws up and has loose stools. Have a frank talk with your vet to see if anything more can be done. My thoughts are with you as someone who has dogs and am well aware of the worries and anxieties that goes with them being ill. I hope for the best for you and Maks.

Thank you everyone for all of your support…so Maks is on a new food again, its a canned food from the vet that he seems to be liking right now and we had to change his sulcrate from the tablets to a liquid because he started spitting the tablets out but since the changes he seems to be doing a bit better again…I guess there will be good and bad days, its expected… 🙁 It’s just really hard because I cannot do anything about it to take it all away but for now we’ll see how he does and hope for the best once again.
On a good note he did not throw up this morning and his stools seem to be OK… 🙂 and there was no blood so I hope this means that fro now he’s feeling better…
