Good grief! This thing is up to $410!!! Almost makes me wanna sell mine!! (Almost:) WOW!
December 26, 2006 at 3:05 pm #519187It’s at $410 and somebody said they’re still available from the factory? Or that there will be more of them later on because they were limited production?

No, they dont have any more at the factory, as far as I know. There may be more later on, though. I dont think the two folks outbidding each other normally buy Windstones.
December 26, 2006 at 3:20 pm #519189It always surprises me how much people spend, how obvious they make it that they really don’t know much about what they’re buying. I compare prices on just about anything, whether it’s an electronic gadget or a motorcycle. I don’t get why some people decide, “I want this one,” and don’t bother to check whether there are more available or any better deals. Okay, the albino is retired, but still – the bidder should snipe it, not keep driving the price up.

I’m exactly the same way. Do you research the reviews and product ratings too? I always do that…

Yeah, its funny how some people just assume that whatever they see is the only one of the item that’s available. But the albino isn’t retired yet, is it? I thought it was limited production?
December 26, 2006 at 5:06 pm #519191It is limited production. They just haven’t made anymore yet. I hope they dont! It would make mine super-valuable!! Not that I would sell it. The best part about collecting is having something someone else covets 😈 Hahahaha! Ok, I know thats not right.
December 26, 2006 at 6:37 pm #519192*Snuggles her albino griffin that she got from a really nice person on this forum from evilbay*
December 26, 2006 at 7:30 pm #519193I love to see these guys go for more that they were purchased for! I know that not every one liked the pink eyed ones, but I love ’em.

No, there are no more available from the factory, and I have no plans to make more. I left the option of making more in the future open though, since they aren’t a limited eduition.. If I ever do, they will have the pearly toenail paint of the Blue eyed Pearl albinos, so the first batch will always be different.

He he! They sure are MY favorite!
December 26, 2006 at 8:47 pm #519196Hmm…this is really curious — I just noticed that the high bidder is someone who’s bid in several of the eyes shut flapcat auctions, so she should be familiar with Windstones and know that this griffin is limited production. I guess she needs to have an albino griffin right NOW… 🙂

I don’t read too many reviews, and I can’t remember ever using a product rating. Generally, on the machines and electronics I ask my brother, since he reads the reviews and product ratings and he’s a natural expert at that, and on Windstones and additions to my weapons collection I ask myself, since I’m an expert on those.:D I don’t really buy much else.

My mistake. Limited production, not retired, like Ski said.

That works! 🙂
December 27, 2006 at 2:53 pm #519200Another benefit of researching prices and availability is that it gives you time to think whether you really need the thing, is it worth the money, is this a wise purchase. Call me stingy, but I – usually 😕 – think several days before spending more than the price of a nice book.
