Sorry the pics don’t show up, but you can check the website under my profile. I PMed you a list. You’ve really got my curiosity up!
December 14, 2006 at 9:30 pm #516375Yippee another Young dragon collector. We need to find more people to out rank the fledging. 😆

I think I’m going to go for the ones on Ebay. I’ve already bid on the white, and bought a green. I will still need a brown and an emerald (either eye color) though. I’m watching a brown that seems quite overpriced, but if I get too ansy I may just nab it. I’m bad about money that way. I just can’t wait. 😕

I would like to collect them too. I only have an emerald right now. The only thing is it’s really chipped up. I only paid $20 for it though, so a good bargin I think. Speaking of bargins would you consider a tan griffen with a few chips and a worn out felt pad for $135 a bargin? I think it is but, I haven’t been paying attention to how much they are going for.

A mint tan griffin with out a box sold for that much. I think with a box it sold for $185. So I guess it depends on whether you want it really bad or not.December 15, 2006 at 12:16 am #516379Romeodanny wrote:dragonessjade wrote:Yippee another Young dragon collector. I think it’s a reasonable price, but not a bargain.
December 15, 2006 at 12:51 am #516380Actually, I thought he was mint. It scared me to death when he arived. He was in this tiny box that was just alittle bigger than he was. He was wrapped really well with bubble wrap but, I thought when I first accepted the package that it was my young unicorn (that I paid way too much for, a mistake on my part I put in the wrong max bid and ended up with a $177 young black unicorn. I paid alot less for my mother and male.) Then when I unpacked him I found these chips mostly on one of the claws. I looked up the auction and there they were. Not all were shown but, I must have missed them or I thought they were shiney spots. I didn’t think he was that much of a bargin when I found them. Moral of the story is to ask if it is mint or not. 😆 Oh well, live and learn.
December 15, 2006 at 1:03 am #516381I have gotten some peices that I thought were mint and I thought it was my fault for not looking at the pictures closely or asking. I also think it should be the seller’s fault for not disclosing that they were there. A true honest seller would.
December 15, 2006 at 1:36 am #516382Actually one and the same. I don’t think He knew that much about Windstone though. The griffen is filthy it looks like it was kept either near a window or maybe a covered porch or something like that. But the chips aren’t that bad. Theres one on the thigh and the rest are on the claws, and one on the tail. It won’t take much to match the paint. Even if I’m off with the colour I’m sure it won’t look that bad.
I do agree that a good seller will be upfront with damage to the piece. It would be nice if people were like that.
December 15, 2006 at 6:36 am #516383I know GB just hang in there!!! I gotta know myself first… 😉

It seems like the darker stripey ones go for more. I paid $110 for mine and he’s in baaaad shape. None of his flaws are noticeable unless you really inspect him though, and its pretty easy to paint over smaller knicks and chips
December 15, 2006 at 3:24 pm #516385I paid way too much for my brown griffin ($300) but he’s perfect and I wanted him forever. With the family coming out, I just couldn’t wait anymore. I got him from BTWedding. I’m considering their black one too, but I’m hoping a cheaper one will show up first.
I’m far too impatient. 😳
December 15, 2006 at 3:32 pm #516386I paid $85 on my black griffin and he was mint when shipped (got broken by USPS in transit though harumph!) 😀
December 15, 2006 at 4:21 pm #516387USPS STRIKES AGAIN!!! 😛
December 15, 2006 at 5:02 pm #516388He looks perfect now- fortunately I had all the pieces of his claw (one big chunk and several flakes from his legs). Fixed him, painted the claw, sealed it- he looks wonderful!
