Hello all!
My name is Kurai, and I have zero experience painting sculptures. But! I do enjoy dabbling in all kinds of art mediums. I just want a little thread where I can post my PYO progress pictures, and maybe even get some feedback.
I have got a PYO Dragon and a PYO Shorthaired Flap Kitty to work on!
I want to do my flap kitty second so I have a little practice in. It will be a memorial piece for my fur baby Daniel who crossed the rainbow bridge back in 2019.
So I started on the Dragon with a mockup to see what colors I want to use. I decided to go with a nice sunset at the beach kind of theme.
Base coat time! I’m using Golden fluid acrylics. Super messy, and super vibrant! But I kind of like the vibrancy. I am absolutely going to need a steadier hand for the tiny scales, but I’m not using detail brushes just yet. Mostly a flat round and a regular round.
