That’s a cool story Koishii! You were meant to paint for her – it was destiny. Beautiful keeper by the. I think he’s one of my favorites that you’ve done.
He is just beautiful! 😀 The colors are so vivid, and as usual, your transitioning is wonderful. I particularly like the “s” scales and the two-color scales on the tail. This has to be my favorite so far, but each seems even better than the last. I will probably be thinking “This is my favorite” every time you do a new Keeper. 😀
Wow, it was like destiny that you paint for her. 😀 @ getting drawn twice. I love him! His shoulders and chest/throat are my favorite parts, I think.

one is bright tropic colors and the other will be very different. very dark with a whole mess of color shift over a black base.I rreally really like the color scheme on the Keeper for Melody, and that beach is too cool! Is it open to the public? Not that I ever expect to be able to get to California, but… Really though, the blue and green especially *drool*. I’d love to see it with green eyes, the dark blue blend in a little too much for me; green would pick up the green in the paint (especially if they were aqua green like a sculpt had once). Red, orange or yellow might stand out too much. Do you plan on revisiting this scheme?

yes, the beach is open to the public! i go there yearly(and actualy will be there this next week! so i will take photos.)
I had some green eyes here, but they were more of an olive green and looked really wierd in it…but some aqua sounds like it would have looked nice! the yellow ones i had also were way too light. he looked like he was stairing a whole through you!
I actualy picked the dark blue because some fish have eyes that almost match thier face scales and if you do not realize that it can catch you off gaurd!
I might revisit and i certainly would be willing to, i love painting that thing.

sure! i think i can do that.
sneek peak at my next keeper.( yeah, i was one of those people who got a few of them :spank: , I have one more that is a commission and one last one after that that i plan on doing a new, dark, color on)
I just finished this one today…and i don’t think i can part with him. he is supposed to have red eyes though, so those ones are not glued in.
The photos i did take of him turned out with a blue hue, much stronger then he really looks! he has a lot of blue greens, light blues, gold greens… so i will have to take new photos and use a black bg.
until there, here is a sneak photo! I am tooooo tired to take new photos today.
