Your very good at patterns – they always look very organic and follow the curves of the body in a very natural manner. Your talent makes me rather envious 😳 . I love paiting patterns, but they are not my strong point 🙄 . I love uni by the way 😀 !

I hear you there. Koi is very talented at using even the most unnatural colors and maiking them look like something you might see every day in the real world! Her talent is immeasurable!
I suck incrediably at making real-ish looking patterns!

Over active imaginationand LOTS of animal/plant/ life books.
These unis for instance are BASED on really horse colors and then i just combine other natural element to make a combination not found in the real world but that still looks natural 🙂
Having a lot of knowlage of already existing colors and patterns helps.KOISHII!!! I GOT MY REEF KEEPER!!! SHE IS SO BREATHTAKING!!!! I think I would have preferred her tail to be either totally dark, or at least partly (either dark turning to light or light turning darker on the ends, but the back is just gorgeous! Very lovely!

Yeah, I’d have preferred either a darker tail, and if not, maybe her face not entirely dark. But besides that, I think her coat color and stripping is awesome. I’m sure she has a happy owner 🙂
The Marbled Tiger Unicorn already has the darker tail and body; the Dun is a lighter version. They both have wonderful striping patterns and dark faces. 🙂 I love those dark faces, 🙂 but particularly on this one. The Marbled has a darker overall look, so the dark face blends in more. On this one, the lighter body really sets off that dark face and makes it even more striking. The entire piece is lovely, but that dark face really hooks me. Love your work, Koishii!
again, thank you every one for the comments! I am soooo glad you love that Keeper Dfeathers! a lot of work went into it and it certainly was a more complicated coloring to paint on one. how do you like the larger flat scales that go down eather side of the back?
Well the reason i did not do a darker tail is because it is really typical of Dun coloring and i wanted an anitypical coloring. but I may do one with a darker tail later. The grey one i am doing right now will be interesting.

I love EVERYTHING! I remeber thinking “Hmmm… I don’t know if I’m going to like this” Then every time she progressed further and further along I went from “Hmm… Actually… I think I am going to like this” ….. ” OMG! I REALLY like this dragon A LOT” …….. ZOMG! I WANT THIS DRAGON! WAIT! IT’S MY DRAGON ALREADY! YAY! SQUEAL!”
