LoL, yeah, that’s all I could find too. But I looked up the word ‘kiki’ on Jeffrey’s Japanese-English dictionary server, and there were several meanings, depending on how you write it. I liked it as an adjective meaning gleeful/joyful and/or the noun ‘brilliance’. 😉 So I’ll call her Kiki. Cute!

I actually took this like…last week or something. I’ve done quite a bit more since, but it’s been so dark and gloomy (and it’s SNOWING today, stupid stupid weather!), I just haven’t been able to get any good light to take a newer pic. Still, I think this is very cute and shows off her orange scales pretty well. =) They have the green interference (which I like very much!) on them too, but you can’t see that, eh…

I spent my entire Christmas giftcard for Dick Blick on those little bottles of Golden. XD But it was worth it! I love them! One drop covers quite a bit.

Have you seen “Kiki’s Delivery Service” (animated film, one of Matsumoto’s)? It’s really sweet. 🙂 She’s coming along great in the new photo! I love the blues transitioning to purple next to the yellow and green and orange. Beautiful!

Yes! I LOVE Studio Ghibli films! I think my favorite was Spirited Away (ah, for an Oriental painted like Haku! lol), and then Howl’s Moving Castle…then Totoro and Kiki’s…well, I love them all, come to think of it. =D

I’m so glad you like her! I can’t wait to finish, but at the same time, I’m enjoying the process.

Umm…I don’t know if I could bring myself to sell my first PYO, but I’m flattered anyone is interested! I think my friend Megan, who’s been keeping up with my progress too, would kill me for it. XD She’s the one who bought me a kirin to paint for my birthday. =) Which I have been commanded to paint next, so I can’t sell that one either…so maybe whatever I do after that? lol
