I rarely get confirmation e-mails when I sign up for a raffle–the only time recently was for the fund-raising raffle for her son’s Robotic’s team. For what it’s worth. 🙂
I can’t find a way to “respond to all members of a group” or ” respond to all starred” on gmail. Does anybody know how to do that? I almost never have time to respond to each entry individually.
Hi Melody,
One thing you can do is create a group called June Raffle. Whenever you get a submission for the raffle you can add the sender’s email address to your contacts and then add the contact to the June Raffle group. You add a contact using the drop down arrow next to the Reply button. When you are ready to send an email out to everyone you can select everyone in the group. Then on the right it will say how many contacts you have selected followed by a link that says Email. Click the email link and you will then get a composer window that has everyone’s email address in it. I hope this helps!

~HeatherOh right, I do all of that, but I often don’t get around to adding everyone to a group until the last minute -when I am ready to print out the list, cut it up and draw a name. Do you know if there is a way to reply to all of a “starred” or “checked” group that is in you inbox, rather than placed in a group of contacts? I want to let folks know that I’ve received their email without the hassle of going to contacts and giving everyone a group label first.
And a really dumb question: How do I send a group email without everyone in the group seeing all the people I’ve sent it to? I use the ‘bcc’ field for that. Just put everyone in there 🙂 I know gmail has that option.
Yep, BCC is what I’d use. I am trying to figure out an easier way to send an email to everyone that is checked or starred w/o using groups and I just don’t see an easier way to do it. I will let you know if I can find another way.
