Dragons and wizards and pebbles galore.
All are lovely to those that adore.
But the very best Windstone with which to adorn
Is the elusive and coveted and rare unicorn.

Ack I broke the quotes, here are the previous parts:

      Winter is too damn cold
      January is a blustery baffle
What the forum wanted to know
Would there be a monthly raffle?

I refuse to get on that wagon
      Of asking for another dragon

We hadn’t meant to be braggin’
Everyone knows the best prize is a dragon!

Not that I want to be a naggin’
But unicorns would beat a dragon!

A dragon is best, the most wanted: a dragon
Behind him, all other prizes are laggin’!

In times of blizzard, who wants a lizard?
Winged or not, I can’t bear the thought!
If a reward be had, I’d rather a wizard!
      A divine feline juggernaut!

      Wizards and lizards?
      I’m sitting out!
      Off to the corner
      Is where I’ll go pout!

Dragons and wizards and pebbles galore.
All are lovely to those that adore.
But the very best Windstone with which to adorn
Is the elusive and coveted and rare unicorn.

Goodfolks and gentle spirits, I implore
Your jaunty rhymes and lines surely I don’t abhor
But a beauteous and radiant dragon
Is what gets most collectors’ tails a-waggin’ !

If most collectors a dragon are wanting,
Then please, please, please a unicorn be offering.
I’ll watch as the dragon lovers stalk off in a huff,
And hope my lonelier entry is enough.

Poetics and finely-wrought phrases from the forum
It is truly dulce et decorum
Our jests and tussles are just fine and dandy
Celebrating the monthly raffle with verbal candy.
Bardic words take flight, zipping and a-zaggin’
But one truth remains: the victor, always, a dragon!

A year (or two) of hardship I endured
Sometimes with the company only of my cat named “Bird”
Father lead astray, mother with cancer
Sometimes I looked to the sky for an answer

But never did I realize, in my wildest dreams
What being a Windstone forum member would mean
I’d been on Fanfiction, Deviantart, the likes all around
But here is where the nicest collectors can be found

Helping me find treasures, barely any spite I saw
With all the kindness around me, I couldn’t help but “awww!”
Now I suppose it is my turn, to try this raffle thing
Perhaps a dragon with some beautiful bling?

Or a gryphon, with wings that shine?
Or a unicorn, one I can finally call mine?
Or a kirin, with gorgeous scales aglow?
Or a pegasus, to none I can say “no.”

Whichever one, dragon or kirin, that comes across my way
I will jump with joy and say,
“A gorgeous Windie, all for me!
Thank you, thank you, Miss Melody!”

Well….there is my weird random poem of the day! I suppose I’ll try to enter! 🙂

        Finding happiness again.

Dragons, Unis, Peggies and Wizards are fine,

But MY Raffle Eye Candy suggestion (in my opinion) is Divine!

I Adore groupings of colors – Safari and Fantasy like no others,

And the only Windstone Critter that can look great no matter the pattern or color explode,

Is the One and Only Benevolent Poad!

Dragons are vain, they want details
Like claws and wings and fancy scales.
Not happy with one, they demand two horns.

              Everyone wants unis and poads
But there is one Windstone I’ve wanted loads
The sculpt I love, the colors I adore
I wish I could have a herd of more and more!

              I don’t have one yet, I hope I win
If this month its a gorgeous Kirin!

              Finding happiness again.

Unicorns, with their horns all askew
Since the pewter crisis made us all go “boo-hoo”
Would be a good choice for a raffle prize
But there’s another that has caught my eyes
If its this sculpt, oh, I hope I win!
If its a gorgeous, fluffy, fishy Kirin!

In these debates and arguments, fallacies abound
I’ll tell it to you plainly how a victor is found!

A dragon can set your unicorns a fire
Dragons are huge, when they sit on poads, they expire!

                Griffins, pssshhh, that’s a dragon’s chicken dinner
Kirins are tiny, they won’t mess with a draconic winner

Pebbles are stones, they’re earth and they’re mud
Dragons can crunch them like a cow chewing its cud

Wizards are nothing special, and that’s a fact
Except that wizards make the very best dragon snacks!

So harken here, you’ll see it’s true
The prize can only be a dragon…and preferably, blue

And then … Lupus won a dragon, a big blue dragon,
First she started dancing and then she started bragging.

“Dragons are best so that’s what I choose.”
But the dragon arrived and he was confused.

He thought Lupus a wizard, or maybe a griffin …
He opened his mouth, and now Lupus is missin’.

The moral of my story is sad but true.
You should stay away from dragons, especially if they’re blue. 😉

As I stare at my Kindle eye’s bleary, straining to see the tiny font clearly ..

Ignoring all calls and knocks at the door, everyone wondering what the heck for..

Sitting alone in lighting dreary, bones starting to creak as I grow weary..waiting for..for a unexpected raffle package at my door.

Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.
