Did anyone see this? I bought it, but haven’t got it yet. The artist is selling them on Ebay too, but he’s in England – so it’s more money and more for shipping (at least to the states).
I think it’s really striking and unique. I’ll take some other photos once I get it.

January 23, 2007 at 2:23 am #531258That is not the artist. This statue has been around a long time and is derived from a griffin illustration in Alice in Wonderland.

They pop up on eBay quite frequently, and are often resin-cast. You can get them from US sellers too. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 23, 2007 at 3:28 am #531259Kind of reminds me of my yard Griffin.
January 23, 2007 at 4:05 am #531260Nam- there are sellers in America selling that guy? (Obviously besides from the guy emerald bought from…) I’ve always wanted one, but never found an American seller and have been to cheap to pay for overseas shipping. 😡
Yeah. I want that one. XD Lucky you!

I knew I saw that pose somewhere! Thanks for saving me from wracking my brain for the next hour, Nam.
It looks like a nice sculpture, by the way.January 23, 2007 at 3:16 pm #531262Well it may not be his “official” store, but they sell a lot of his sculpts. They said he modeled it after the griffin in Alice in Wonderland right in the auction.

I know I’ve seen it on ebay from american sellers before. It was probably individuals re-selling their own pieces? I’ve always been tempted but never have the cash for it! 😉

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 23, 2007 at 5:13 pm #531264The last time I saw that griffin it was in the Toscano (home furnishings) catalog. I used to love to get that catalog, so many nice goodies!
January 23, 2007 at 6:16 pm #531265I’ve been looking for that website for ages, Silver! Thanks so much! Mom has a few of their old catalogs and when I was younger I would spend hours making lists of everything I wanted from them…

I do not think any of these items compare to Windstone though -
