Hilarious, I was starting to wonder when you were going to turn around and catch him. LOL!
You are funny, I am that way with hamburger, I hate touching hamburger, but any other meat is no big deal. Hamburger is just too squishy for me to deal with, blech, tastes great, just don’t like to play with it. So needless to say, hamburgers and meatloaf aren’t done a lot around here.
As for where the loin on pork is located on the animal, the loin is along the back, on either side of the spine, just FYI. Which is why it is so long and tubular in shape.
I would definately say it does not resemble a bull penis though, that is very different. As to how I happen to know, you should take a Dairy A.I. class in college sometime, very educational in more ways than you ever wanted. LOL!
Just as an interesting aside regarding this subject, a bull can repeat his performance about 15 times in rapid succession with no break in between, and it only takes him like 10 seconds…another thing I never wanted to know, but hey at least I can share it here! Gives this trivia a purpose! LOL!
Unfortunately for the rest of you, I know a lot more interesting barnyard trivia…perhaps someday I will share. Too much is in the category of, “Why do I need to know this?” *laugh*

LOL, Kyrin… youre too funny! I actually went to school on a farm in high school, So I actually know alot of useless cow-related trivia, just not so into the butchering diagrams! Thanks though Kyrin, nice to know I’m not the only one full of useless trivia!
*Raises hand for knowing some useless animal trivia as well* I had to take several farm animal classes in college for my Agricultural Journalism degree. I’ve managed to forget a lot of it though and I just told my parents they could throw away/recycle my textbooks left behind at their house.
Just so you know DragonMistress I get bitchy if my Chicken looks like it was abused when it was alive, I hate finding Bruises on it, so now I try to buy mine from select butchers for whole, and inspect it for “Signs of Abuse” if parts.!! Male thinks I;m weird, but is accepting and now does most of the cooking!! lol!!
DragonMistress, that was wonderful! 😆 I know it was kind of sneaky of him to tape you like that, but I laughed so hard at your commentary, and I really did need to laugh after this crazy day. Thank you for posting this link! 🙂 You raised some very valid points about the ick factor of working with raw meat. I get that way about meat that has a lot of gristle and fat on it. And my mom hasn’t let me carve the Thanksgiving turkey ever since that one year when I’d just gotten through an Anatomy final, and treated the whole table to a dissertation on Turkey Anatomy. 😳 😆 Sorry, Ma, Finals are rough on the brain cells!

I think I would probably throw up if I had to eat raw meat, well, except maybe carpaccio (spelling?) for some reason that doesn’t gross me out. What’s really funny is I like my steak and such medium rare…I think it’s just the feeling of preparing raw meat that squicks me.
