well I have round 25 or so windstones.. and I have most of my boxe’s.. even if they weren’t the orignals that they came with.. also I have a Tudor mint collection.. and that is up around 50 peices and I have most of thier boxes as well.. .. my creative way to store them is put them inside of one another then put them in my boyfriends storage unit.. lol

you can’t do that with Windstone boxes though because of the cardboard inserts

November 22, 2006 at 5:45 pm #509207I don’t think I like that storage solution! 😆

Fire is how I lost my very first 2 Windstones in 1988. It was not fun and it is NOT a good storage way eitherNovember 22, 2006 at 5:54 pm #509209DM, you weren’t able to salvage them after the fire? Must have been bad!
A few months ago we were discussing a few Windstones that went though a house fire and survived- and looked really cool afterwards!

It was a 4 alarm fire, total loss. It started in the apartment downstairs. My room mates and I where the innocent bystanders that lived upstairs. Scott one of my room mates said he say my female in perfect condition but as soon as he touched her she turned to dust right in front of his eyes. I only had 2 at the time so I was able to replace them right as the brown retired many years agoNovember 22, 2006 at 6:23 pm #509211Dragon Master wrote:Nambroth wrote:DM, you weren’t able to salvage them after the fire? That’s why Melody advised another member not to try firing their PYO in a kiln. I’m sorry for your loss!

My art: featherdust.comNovember 22, 2006 at 6:36 pm #509212Thanks it’s hard to believe it’s been 18 years next month since it happened. the best part was that no hukan got hurt. I had a pet rabbit that passed away and everyone told me the smoke probably got to her first
December 20, 2006 at 1:48 pm #509213YIPPI! I just scored a hatching white emperor, mint, for $76!!! I think this qualifies as my best buy!!
December 20, 2006 at 2:59 pm #509214Congrats, Ski! Was that a hidden auction?
Hey, and I thought you were broke? $15 isn’t $76.December 20, 2006 at 3:14 pm #509215Greater Basilisk wrote:Congrats, Ski! Was that a hidden auction?
Hey, and I thought you were broke? $15 isn’t $76.It was from a seller selling a bunch of other Windstones, but for some reason, they didn’t write Windstone in either the title or description of this one. Yes, I am actually going to go into the negatives for this one, but even with the overdraft fee, its a steal. Come the first, everything should be back to normal. I let the castle go, but I couldnt pass this up! The only other member who found it was DDVM.
December 20, 2006 at 3:23 pm #509216Their loss is your gain. Which seller?
December 20, 2006 at 3:36 pm #509217December 20, 2006 at 3:39 pm #509218I was watching their stone auctions. Those didn’t go very high either, but you really got a good deal on the hatching emperor.
